We all found the chef on carvery duty to be lacking in customer service skills, and he made inappropriate comments to the ladies in the group. Had I have been made aware of this by them at the time I would have asked to see the manager and lodged a formal complaint. Quality of carvery was good, but the interior decor and overall standard of decoration is now well overdue for a total work through

An excellent overall very friendly service. Jo & Ollie were so polite & interested. The food was far better than any carvery I have experienced on the mainland. The vegetable options were vast with many choice options which was very accommodating. A really good great team who work hard to create an all around good atmosphere. Jo & Ollie are a huge asset to the pub & are happy to go over & above to create a great pub experience. They are both a credit. I will continue to go to the sloop Inn. Thanks to Jo & Ollie.

Really nice family restaurant would definitely recommend booking as very busy. carvery meats were lovely generous portions and nice selection of veg nice friendly staff, great that can order burgers pizza etc 2 as fussy son not keen on roast dinners! Michelle was lovely went out her way to help with a voucher not going thru! We went here 3 times during our island visit including their buffet breakfast which was great loved the waffles!

4 out of 5 is not bad, only thing stopping me giving the extra star was the pub let dog inside when people are eating. The pub itself is old fashioned, but nice. We went for Sunday lunch around midday. It was not to busy is that was nice. The staff were nice and friendly as well. The food- we had carvery which was lovely, nice big plates and nice big portions it was hot as well. Really like it. Would go back again for dinner.

All you can eat breakfast good, quite nice to sit outside, depending on tide, as the river can smell a bit. I know, weird right. There were a lot of wasps last time too, but outside dining is like this. Good place, fair price, nice old pub interior and feel.

Booked here online (2 adults and a baby) for a couple of hours later and everything went smoothly. We were greeted at the door with a smile and shown to our table. Food was reasonably quick and my burger was very nice. Only downside is at no point we’re we offered a high chair for the baby which I would of expected for a family friendly place.

Good food. Slightly more expensive on a Sunday but always plenty of variety on the carvery. The man behind the carvery deck was very chatty and made me and the kids laugh and Charlotte behind the bar was more than helpful when we said we forgot to book. Will remember to book next time but overall was very impressed today.

First time I've been here for the all you can eat breakfasts. Was a nice spread with decent sausages (Cumberland) not the cheap rubbish you normally get. The rest of the food was well cooked and tasty. Haven't seen a decent fried bread in ages but it was the best one here.Elaine and Ollie were friendly and welcoming.Overall very happy with the experience and will be coming back again

Really enjoyed a good roast with a friend here. Service and staff were both very good and the food was nicely cooked and good portions. A good place for a family get together. The only reason I gave 4 rather than 5 stars is that cleaning could be improved, but otherwise, very good food and value.

Came in for an all you can eat Breakfast this morning with a few friends... Friendly staff waiting to serv you at the bar with exceptional service. We ordered hot drinks and breakfast. The breakfast station was fully stocked up and clean, we loved the waffle and black pudding extras. The restaurant is very open with plenty of day light, an ideal location to enjoy a catch up with friends.Well done Sloop, keep it up and we will be back again soon 👍
