The Sloop Inn, Wootton Bridge in Isle of Wight

Best carvery on the island. I come here frequently with my husband and our daughter. Staff are always super friendly and helpful and always go the extra mile - today Charlotte behind the bar helped my daughter with her ice cream when the machine wasn't working properly. Have recommended the sloop to all my friends and they all agree that the food and service is always amazing.

This is our 'go to' venue for our Ladies Group because of the warm welcome and friendly staff. The food is always hot and freshly cooked. The Carvery is delicious and a special mention to Lyka - Yeah Maan

Good food. Slightly more expensive on a Sunday but always plenty of variety on the carvery. The man behind the carvery deck was very chatty and made me and the kids laugh and Charlotte behind the bar was more than helpful when we said we forgot to book. Will remember to book next time but overall was very impressed today.

We came on Monday 21st February after arriving on the island for a short holiday.Our server for the night was Seb who looked after us really well. He was very attentive and had a great sense of humour!We all (2 adults, 2 kids) had pizza and they were amazing! Would definitely recommend!

As always the carvery at the Sloop inn is first class 3 types of meat this time there was Turkey beef and gammon with plenty of choice of vegetables and well priced see menu photo also the staff are always very friendly and welcoming will without doubt we will be back

First time I've been here for the all you can eat breakfasts. Was a nice spread with decent sausages (Cumberland) not the cheap rubbish you normally get. The rest of the food was well cooked and tasty. Haven't seen a decent fried bread in ages but it was the best one here.Elaine and Ollie were friendly and welcoming.Overall very happy with the experience and will be coming back again

Really enjoyed a good roast with a friend here. Service and staff were both very good and the food was nicely cooked and good portions. A good place for a family get together. The only reason I gave 4 rather than 5 stars is that cleaning could be improved, but otherwise, very good food and value.

Came in for an all you can eat Breakfast this morning with a few friends... Friendly staff waiting to serv you at the bar with exceptional service. We ordered hot drinks and breakfast. The breakfast station was fully stocked up and clean, we loved the waffle and black pudding extras. The restaurant is very open with plenty of day light, an ideal location to enjoy a catch up with friends.Well done Sloop, keep it up and we will be back again soon 👍

Had a great Sunday lunch with family today, a warm welcome with really friendly and helpful staff. We all enjoyed our carvery roast dinners which had a choice of four meats and loads of vegetables, all piping hot and nice and fresh tasting. Will definitely recommend and certainly go back again ourselves.

Lovely friendly (and warm)pub. Love coming here for pizza which is always perfect. Crispy base and lots of toppings. The staff cannot do enough for you particularly Michelle who is always checking we’re happy with food, need any more drinks or puds. Nothing is too much trouble for her.
