The Village Inn Restaurant in Isle of Wight

Food here is brilliant, eaten here twice and it's always good. Their home made burgers are huge and service is fairly fast. You need to order at the bar however for your food which is abit of a shame. Was slightly expecting to be able to remain at the table instead of getting up and down for simple things. Got a smoking area out back which is fairly large and suited for the summer time. Will definitely go back again and try their vegetarian dishes.

Great staff with a very warm welcome, but the food and drinks were very expensive for what we got. My steak and ale pie was delicious, but the new potatoes were not great and just a few peas. I'd expect more for the price.

We are just back from our evening meal at The Village Inn for the third time in this week. These days, so many pubs have been 'modernised' to become more of a restaurant and consequently take away their ambience, cosiness and the all-important friendliness one finds in a local tavern. The Village Inn has exceptionally friendly service, superb beers and really delicious food at very reasonable prices. A special thank you to Lisa for looking after us on two of the days and to the rest of the staff who make this pub worth travelling back to Shanklin for!

Really friendly staff, amazing food. I had the delicious salmon and my partner had the huge burger, both amazing. Good sized portions. We will certainly be back. Thank you.

August 2021.An exceptional pub/restaurant, all the staff were so pleasingly attentive, nothing was too much trouble. It was very busy as it was fully booked. Table service only created a great atmosphere in the building.We didn't have to wait long for our food, which arrived, full of flavour and hot. I cannot recommend The Village Inn highly enough..

Friendly staff, Inch cider is very tasty. The 10oz burger is amazing, it's huge, big portion of chips and a very nice fresh salad, couldn't actually finish it all 😲 Good value, highly recommend this place

Lovely to return to one of our favourite restaurants while on holiday. Delicious homemade food & good portion size, which always makes me happy, all the lovely staff made us feel very welcome in a great atmosphere, thank you so much.

Place was busy we couldn’t get to sit inside but lady at the reception was kind enough to fit us in for a quick drink at the garden. It’s such a lovely place shame it was packed and we couldn’t experience food but will definitely come again. The interior is was beautifully decorated made it ideal place to have dinner. The pub itself stands out in Shanklin when it’s all lit up in the evening.
