Union Inn Pub in Isle of Wight

Lovely pub wit a brilliant atmosphere and we'll kept ale

I was sat in a chair singing lively Britney Spears and the KFC song and the woman told to sing louder cause she loves my Pompey voice of a angel and I got loads of free drinks because I’m Berry Berry happy singer

Locals very friendly, good choices of beer, dog friendly. Bit precious about their fire place, either have a fire or don't.

Went in for a Christmas drink with my sister who has lived on the Isle of wight for years no atmosphere and the landlord asked me to stop the dog from barking as it was annoying it only barked as two dogs were passing the glasses we had were dirty one had lipstick all over it not a nice place so went to the crown Hotel what a difference was given a bed for the dog and water with a lovely atmosphere calls itself dog friendly no way !

Great rooms at a very reasonable price, lovely touch having a lamp and radio on when entering the room. Warm friendly atmosphere in the pub, wonderful staff, ale and log fire. The Union is firmly on our again list!

The union inn has all the traits of a typical English pub, in a quaint street, whilst quirky in its shape, the log fire, friendly staff and good beer are what you want.Areas that make you feel part of the atmosphere but practical areas for the busier times when seats are needed.And its an Inn so rooms available if you don't want to be to far from anything

One star is for the pub as nice and local for a drink, but as for the night not sleeping until 2:30 as the big room is just above the bar. As for the cleaning or lack off and the state of the bathroom complete renovation needed. To top it off the pack lunch breakfast I gave to the local homeless person.Could be so much more if renovated as good location.

Good traditional drinking pub, good atmosphere and real ales and not from the island brewers like most pubs on the IOW! Downside they will not take cash only cards which I think is well out of order since we are pretty much out of Covid now. Sorry M.

This was way better than the first appearance. The staff were friendly and professional and the atmosphere was spot on. Warm, friendly and seriously relaxed. Good music, great range of drinks, decent snacks. The loos were clean too. Would go back in a heartbeat.
