Best bacon roll you will find in Cowes. Cakes and coffee are also great. Love this place and go regularly.

Absolutely fabulous. A brilliant staff and a simply wonderful lady, owner? who look after us brilliantly. To die for bread, bacon, cakes, what a fabulous place. We were refugees from the Union Inn, not recommended. Gosh you people of Cowes are so so lucky. We will be back!!

Sign on the door clearing stating seating indoors. Very rude unpleasant woman barked that inside wasn't open till April. We will not spend hard earned money in a place where they are so rude. Lost out on a substantial sale. Will not be returning while this creature is there. Ignorant.

Fantastic bread and cakes, go for the josephine you wont be dissappointed. Also love the bacon and cheese croissant!!

Looks like a charming artisan bakery, until you enter and are confronted by very rude staff. As I came in a woman barked at me 'you've got to be wearing a mask!' When I asked if I could pay by contactless, she growled 'only over five pounds'. No please or thank you, or the least attempt to be polite. I'm sure she'll be glad to know that I won't be going back. Small wonder that the shop is usually empty.

As per many of the reviews, the lady ( who I believe is the owner) was simply awful. My daughter has a learning disability and suffers terribly with anxiety. She wears a sunflower lanyard and has been widely respected across the island and on the mainland. As we entered the shop we were rudely shouted at as only one of us was wearing a face mask. “You can’t come in here. Get out. Go outside:” I was shocked. My daughter crumbled into tears. Months of good work and reassurance thrown away. I calmly and politely restated to that she had a learning disability and an exemption but was told it was ‘Isle of Wight rules’. What nonsense! I’m all for getting vaccinated and socially distancing . But I’m also pro treating people with respect and dignity . Perhaps she could have been kind to my daughter (and me) by calming asking if it would be ok if she waited outside. This would have been upsetting but a whole lot better than being rudely shouted at. Inclusion it seems is not Well Bread. I won’t be spending my money in here again which is a shame as I’ve had plenty of decent lunches in here. I encourage you to stay away too. Rude beyond belief.

Unfortunately, having encountered such rude behaviour from the lady that works here (not only to me, but the customer in front of me).I walked out within 10 seconds of stepping through the door after being spoken to like a naughty child.I don't say this lightly, but don't even bother... find one of the other lovley bakery's in town!I genuinely hope that these reviews are seen by the owner / proprietor before the business tanks because it will, with the lack of service and common decency to other human beings.

Wish I'd read the reviews first. Was rude & abrupt service, over salty cheese scone, average croissant, 'as much bread as you can eat' because it's yesterday's bread! The reviews are accurate, don't go.

Looks lovely and the cakes are great, with a very good selection, but the service was so poor. Very rude and abrupt from the woman in the shop - like she just didn’t want us there and it was an inconvenience to serve us. Such a shame as this could be a four or five star review. The chap who served us at the end and cleared the table was lovely and full of chat... really just don’t understand why the woman is so unwelcoming?

I don't recognise some of the low ratings because we found the shop to be welcoming and the portions to be great. We purchased rolls and coffee; and ate them outside the front of the store. We also purchased cake but were too full to eat it. Whilst eating, the cinnamon wafted outside. If you are in Cowes and fancy a bread product, give this place a go.
