Wimpy in Isle of Wight

Went to eat here today, food took nearly 20 mins despite being nearly empty, when food got there greasy and have just been sick full of grease, no peas with fish and chips my sister had to ask for her beans, coffee luke warm, no ice cream with kids meal and still changing same, never ever go again!

I had a meal here yesterday with my friend, the food was lush. Then got home and both me and my friend had the runs plus was getting swears and stomach pains, and vomiting. I will not be ever eating here again

Watched a worker pick deep in his nose in the kitchen “no gloves” & not wash it it off even after looking at me & seeing I had seen him. He looked down & played it off” going to carry on making food. I then asked the Manager to ask him to wash his hands please before touching my food he in turn tried starting something & getting aggressive towards me as a the customer .shouting he had not picked his nose even though I had just watched im & eventually to my absolute shock as a trained chef who has worked in good e. stablishments, I was giving a refund & told to leave as there was customers who had witnessed this whole event. leaving me just in general complete shock as I have just never ever seen anything like that go on in a kitchen & then get excused. Later on realising I couldn’t be happier to not have got a burger that they had let someone handle with bogeys on there hand & he not have been fired or sanctioned is something else . Still amazes me as I know kitchens, this would not happen as it did in any other kitchen or establishment, I have never heard of anything like it.

Waited 17 mins for a cappuccino and a hot chocolate. Kitchen in complete disarray with no one extraditing orders. To top it poor hygiene standards, staff were visibly unclean and not a single hairnet or hat insight. Disgusting

Worst work force I have ever witnessed. Rude, unclean & watched all of be rude & make customers time harder. Watched 2 people in front of me angry at there order being messed up, then they did even worse to my order. Even asked them if I would actually get what I was ordering as others had ordered then not got all their items & were told they can’t arrange a refund there was no card machine they wasn’t going to give the missing food or there money back & I watched 2 people leaving angry after paying for there meal & not receiving actually recieveing it or recovering a refund.

£7.10 for probably the worst chicken burger I've ever had and took over 30mins too cook. Also they were asking people of there was anything missing from their order when they collected it. Shouldn't they know that 🤣

Over £25 for 2 horrible burgers, drinks watered down beyond recognition and cardboard tasting chips, burgers looked like thinly pressed dog meat and dirty looks from every member of staff simply for daring to stand waiting for my food order, will actively encourage people to avoid this place

Haven't had a Wimpy in what thirty years maybe more.Fancied one drove 20 plus miles today to the Clarence per at Southsea today really looked forward to it.Wow.Disappointment doesn't cover it, nowhere near.I often wondered why Wimpy all but vanished form the UK.Its no longer a mystery.I cant believe they have any outlets left tbh.Consider the competition we all know who they are. Then look at Wimpy prices and worst of all the quality...unbelievablely bad.Oh and the restaurant at Sothsea....given its been closed the best part of a year....did anybody ever clean it??Use the chippy near to the entrance of this place it looks far more welcoming and better valueJoanna

Worst burger I have ever tasted. The 7up tasted like carbonated water. And fries were done in old oil and unsalted. Lady was really friendly at least 🙂

Came across this place by chance and could not believe my eyes when I seen an actual Wimpy! Overall it's a nice clean place a real throw back gem. The pier building is really dated but looks like it has been kept well, apart from the delapadated bowling lanes.The service was super fast but I'm guessing they are cooking up to order, either way it's a classic tummy filler and I'm glad I had another chance to try it.Some improvements I would say are needed would be an indoor toilet, that you did not need to pay for and the burger patties although nice did not taste really meaty like they used to.
