Yate's in Isle of Wight

When you arrive at the hotel you have to walk through the restaurant to book yourself in and you’re greeted by welcoming staff that are friendly and helpful. The rooms are wonderful. On the desk you will find a welcome tray with drinks, kettle, and a cup. The beds are sooooo soft 😍, never slept so well in a hotel bed. Bathroom has a massive window allowing loads of fresh air into the rooms, and a big bathtub! In the morning we didn’t have any food because I woke up late 🤣 but I’m guessing the food is as good as the service 👍 Overall I would definitely stay here again and you should too.

Beautifully presented room and bathroom. White sheets and soft white towels and a comfy bed. Generous tea/coffee making tray with fresh milk on request. Parking made easy by supportive and helpful host Dean. All questions answered promptly and helpfully prior to booking. The main event, however, is the food in the evening absolutely delicious with a great choice of wine to accompany. Very good value for money.

Our daughter,son in law and family gave us a voucher for 3 course meal and bottle of wine. We'll it's one of the best meals we have had, couldn't find a fault if we tried. We also had the pleasure of meeting a lovely gentleman called Harry who was 100 years old, and his lovely friend June. We had a most enjoyable evening. Thankyou for great service.

Once more a great stay at Hewitts, they really work very hard to make your stay fantastic. Breakfast good and dinner is second to none. The best place to stay on the IOW. The rooms are very comfortable and are traditional design. Overall a great place to stay. We will be back.

Sunday roast was divine. The gravy was super delicious. Ambiance is lovely and cosy. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.

I was taken here for my birthday dinner. My son was always recommending it. I was definitely not disappointed. The food looked and tasted delicious. The service was great. The restaurant was clean and friendly. We will definitely be going back when next on the island. We highly recommend going.

I was taken here by my family for my surprise birthday celebrations and I loved it. Brilliant food, excellent service and super friendly staff. My wife, who organised it all, said that they couldn't have been more helpful and went the extra mile to make it a very special evening. I fancied pretty much everything on the menu and will definitely be going back to try more of their excellent looking dishes which included some great vegetarian and gluten free options.

Room review only:Stayed over Christmas while visiting family in Newport. Lovely, huge rooms and bed, and super central. Very affordable for what you get, included breakfast which you often wouldn't get for the price. Helpful and friendly staff who were very accomodating with an earlier check-in. Can't comment on the restaurant as it was closed over the 3 days we stayed there.

We came here today for Sunday lunch as it was my wifes birthday. We all had the roast dinner and it was delicious. The portions are very generous and everything is cooked nicely. Desserts were just as good. The staff are polite and friendly, there was also a musician playing accoustic guitar and singing which was nice. Will definitely return.

My wife and I had a lovely time here. The staff were all awesome and we felt welcome during our whole stay. The room was clean and everything we needed was taken care for us. We also tried the restaurant and it was just spectacular. The food and the service were both impeccable.Don't hesitate to book.. and if you do so, please ensure you try their food as well.
