Ask Italian Lewes wouldn’t exactly be what I identified as ‘classic italian’. I have had to eat from here several times, but admittedly not in restaurant (would have it packaged and walk down to my hotel with it). The packaging was great and kept the food hot. Unfortunately, it really is just bland and not worth eating. I tried 4 different pastas and they were just not even seasoned with salt and pepper. The garlic tiger prawns were very garlicky and delicious. The calamari was quite good, particularly the aioli that came with it.The service is very quick and all the staff are super friendly and inviting. Not sure I would recommend this restaurant for a dining experience.

The food was great and if you get a corner table you can enjoy the views as well.

Great experience and food. I asked to sit at the table by the window and the manager accommodated my request with a smile.Food was hot, delicious and nicely presented. We had a pizza, salmon nicoise salad and the pulled beef papardelle pasta. The desert was delicious. The only thing was the app wasn't working and we waited a bit to pay the bill.

Will start off by saying I am not one to leave bad reviews, I work in the industry and know how nitpick people can be but had a really mediocre experience here and charged £40 for the pleasure 👍Starter was hot fried arancini, which tasted just okay but served with a fridge cold tomato sauce which was a bit strange. We had to ask for everything, salt, pepper, cutlery, parmesan as not on the table or offered freely. Restaurant was at maximum a quarter filled and tables around us left dirty for our whole duration there. Food also took a little longer than expected considering how quiet it was.Mains were a complete let down, pasta completely overcooked so just tasted slimy and wet and both carbonara and bolognaise really lacking in any actual meat. Under salted and really nothing special. Have had better pasta at independents for a fiver. Save yourself the money. Staff sweet and friendly but otherwise the best thing was the chips and tap water haha.

I’ve visited here on many occasions with friends and family. Staff are always friendly and attentive and the food is consistently good. The restaurant itself is large and spacious and it never feels like you’re squeezed in. Great value for money and central in the town. Highly recommend.

Delicious food, great service and wonderful staff! Would highly recommend. We even got complimentary disco ball drink tumblers to take home!

I'm not usually a fan of chain restaurants, but we were delighted with our lunchtime visit today to Ask in Lewes. Light, bright and clean, a delicious bread and olive oil/balsamic oil appetizer and excellent well cooked pasta main courses. Nice selection of interesting non alcoholic drinks. Pleasant efficient staff. Recommended.

Great food and staff. It was a little loud but it was also Saturday evening. We ordered pizza and the service was fast. Good choice of drinks.

Haven’t been here in a while and certainly not since the recent renovations. We were really happy with our meal. The service was very friendly and there were lots of little touches and considerations that you do not normally get at chain restaurants. The menu has some great options and there are extensive drink choices so something for everyone. Best chain restaurant dinner I’ve had in a while. Would happily come again.

The food quality could be better, had to change the risotto for something else as it had too much seasoning. The pizza I had was much better at take out places too. Service wasn’t good but not too bad, when complaining about the risotto the waitress didn’t apologise just took the plate she could of handled the situation better than that. 3 stars for the restaurant in general.
