Beijing Restaurant in Lewes

Not the best takeaway in lewes. Dissatisfied with the spring rolls. The Singapore noodles were ok.

Not very ImpressedFlavours feel rushed. Slightly overpowering smoky barbecue flavour, my rice dish is dry, a bit plain with an intense chilli aftertaste (this was not a dish which suggested a high spice level) - chicken wings were ok but nothing special, not crispy - satisfying but not exciting - I will stick to my favourite place in future who have much more flair

We ordered a delivery yesterday from Beijing, we were very dissapointed. the salt & pepper squid was not edible, either stale or very over cooked, couldn't tell the difference. The dumpling were hard and stodgy, pancake rolls were ok.The chicken in the main tasted awful, If my eyes were, closes I wouldn't been able to identify the meat. The beef and black bean sauce was tasteless and meat over cooked. We threw 80% of the dinner in the binI've tried to find an email address on their website to complain, but there isn't one. We were gutted last night as we don't often get a take out because of the expense, so this was suppose to be a real treat for us, a treat it was not.

Unfortunately one of the worst Chinese takeaways I've encountered. The hot and sour soup I ordered was flavourless and inedible. The king prawn balls were not king prawns. The batter was very hard . The sweet and sour sauce was missing from the order. So had to wait for that to be redelivered .I won't order from here again. Did on this one occasion due to my regular Chinese having problems with their phone line. Maybe I was unlucky but first impressions count.

Absolutely delicious. Never tried the Roasted Duck on a bed of Beansprouts before but it did not disappoint, lovely chicken chow mein and sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style is always a favourite. Would 100% definitely recommend.

Been using Beijing Restaurant for curry takeaways while on holiday from New Zealand. This is the second year we’ve come to Lewes and had food from here. We really enjoy their curries, so much so that each night for the 3 nights we’ve been here, we’ve had a curry from them! Quick service and the prices are good, can recommend.....the curries at least!

Two very good dishes, aromatic crispy duck worst we have ever had. ...cucumber skin on, cut thick, duck shredded poorly with bones broken into it, some ugly chucks of fat. Not cheap, other options in town must be better.

Very bad.. waited 2 hours for delivery... no show! Called up and was told delivery driver had broken down and I needed to collect it. Went over food was being given to the delivery driver.... i stopped him and gave may (the owner) the money and I was still waiting 10min later for change.. she started shouting at me so I gave the food back and took my money back. I dont know how the girl and delivery guy still work there!!! they were the only polite and we're very sorry ... they were treated so bad I would have quit by now.Avoid at all costs...

The Beijing has been around for a long time but I suspect it mainly caters for the takeaway trade these days. We visited one Sunday eve ro the find the restaurant empty but doing a roaring carry out and delivery business over the phone. The interior is tired and shabby, likewise the passageways and toilets. The service was chaotic and amateurish to say the least, but very friendly all the same with food and wine acceptable for the money. Most people would be happier with the more upmarket Panda Garden in the High Sreet but it is closed on Sunday evenings

Just had a delivery from Beijing, sceptical after hearing our faves Carnival had bought them out, but we shouldn't have worried. They have new chefs and the food is better than ever! Even the delivery guy was polite and knowledgeable about the business. 5 stars from us!
