Bun & Bean in Lewes

Such a great find just down a side road from the high street in Lewes. Lots of veggie and vegan options. Had the sweet potato burger which was AMAZING. So fresh and tasty. Chips portion was great too and really yummy. Got a great chilled out atmosphere in there and look out for the 80s items on the shelves. Reminded hubby of his youth lol. Brilliant place so glad we went. We'll done bun and bean, we loved our visit

Love the concept, really impressed with the range of craft beer and how seriously they take their coffee- they've clearly had plenty of great roasters beans. Think we got them on an off day though- my partners latte was horrible and the banana bread was ice cold, stodgy and tasteless. Same three tracks on loop the entire visit too bizarrely! They seemed to be struggling with service even though there was only three tables so perhaps it was understaffed the day we went. Bit of a shame as the place has all the right ingredients for an excellent cafe.

Very, nice. I'm not a biased vegetarian so can honestly say it was delicious however the price for the burger was fair (for lewes) the price for the extras was extremely inflated and far too high of a markup.Would go again but would not be a more than a once a month thing.

Since my first review 2 years ago. I'm really pleased to see how this place has developed. The meals aren't huge, but just right for lunch. The homemade burgers are seasonal flavours. Their Christmas nut burger was a delightful mix of flavours and textures. The loaded fries with vegan cheese and red onion chutney was delicious.

A small place with two choices of veggie burger with choices of extras (I.e. cheese, avocado etc.). Very tasty, even for a meat eater. Coffee was delicious too. Would recommend, especially to vegetarians.
