Fuego Lounge in Lewes

Great place, even when it's busy there is space from other dinners. We go as my partner is gluten intolerant and most of their dishes can be gluten free, she loves the choices. Good service and great food, you can also order from an App.

As you enter the cafe, the sign says to wait to be seated. We ended up waiting over 10 minutes, even though the place was not busy at all and the servers weren't busy either. After 10-15 minutes I went up and asked if we were going to be seated and they said someone will come to us. After a couple of minutes, a server came up to us, only to tell us to sit wherever and to order using the QR code on the table. This was ridiculous as we had been waiting for no reason and the servers saw us waiting but for some reason, chose not to tell us that we could sit wherever, sooner. We waited for our food for quite a while as well. The food was overpriced for what it was worth, but it was decent food. We ordered a milkshake and it was horrible, it was room temperature/slightly warm. The servers weren't very helpful and also a whole group of them just stood in the corner giggling and doing makeup on each other for the majority of our meal. We weren't given enough cutlery and had to ask for basic things like sauces. The food was fine but I wouldn't come here again because the service is terrible.UPDATE: the email they replied with doesn't exist so I don't think they actually want to follow up!

Visited here for the first time with a friend. We both chose the veggie breakfast, cappacino and a milkshake. The atmosphere is lovely, rustic and interesting 😊. Busy but plenty of space between tables. Dog friendly (she's coming with me next time!). The staff are very friendly and super efficient, breakfast was delicious and a little different with added bites not normally on a standard breakfast plate. I'm not telling, you'll see. All in all a great place to eat and I'll be back. Highly recommend.

A cosy lounge with lots of seating, staff are kind and quick on their feet. Food ordered via QR code was quickly delivered to the table and was totally delicious! Great food and drinks selection, I believe it tends to be the same no matter which Lounge you visit. It was the same when I visited Calico Lounge in Lancashire up north. But no complaints of course 😊

My associate and I ended up spending a fair amount of time across two days in Fuego. The diner style food is simple but done very well. Lots of flavours and a huge menu.The staff are the stand out here for me. They have such a high amount of hospitality energy, they could not of accommodated us anymore. Nothing was every too much and they were always happy. What a bunch! Definitely worth stopping in to.

Fantastic atmosphere, excellent food and great service. There was a queue out the door and it’s clear to see why - this place is brilliant. We enjoyed the chicken, bacon and avocado salad, Halloumi burger and wings. A great range of dishes to suit most tastes.

A decent place to go for mediocre food. The place itself is nice as it is roomy and light. The prices are slightly higher than they should be for very low effort food, as dishes such as the soup, croquettes - and meatballs are clearly not made in house. Staff are ok, yet the lack of table service is a nuisance.
