Golden Palace in Lewes

I would eat here again. Lots of takeaways are full of cheap nuclear seeming ingredients. This was nice. The ingredients were average but tasty. The staff were friendly. It's a lovely clean and pleasant restaurant takeaway tucked away. It's very hard to get a top quality fresh ingredients eatery unless you go top money and then it's so fancy it's not the food you really want to tuck into. This has all the dishes you want so great choice.

Took my partner on a well over due night out. The service was incredible, the food was excellent and on a whole the lay out and interior made you feel comfortable. Prices were reasonable considering the current economic climate. I recommend strongly for birthdays/family reuinions and cheeky first dates ;) 10/10

Went here tonight, party of 5. couple of tables already occupied so wasn't busy, we were seated straight away after a couple of minutes of sitting down the gent behind the counter came to take our order but realised he hadn't given us any menus which he went back to get, after 10 mins he strolls back takes the drinks order 2 ciders, 2 cokes and an apple juice the 2 ciders came pretty much straight away then 5 mins later the rest of the drinks he then goes on to take the food order for the table so we ordered 6 starters after 15 mins a couple of the starters arrived hot and tasty but was still missing a couple they eventually arrived. Ordered a couple more starters as we had finished the first order, ordered another round of drinks after 30 mins the order we had placed still hadn't arrived, when asking the gent behind the counter who was taking food orders from tables, takeaway orders, bring food and drink to the table and even chopping food out the back. My wife asked how much longer would our food be only to be told the kitchen is extremely busy but won't be long, the food arrived which wasn't hot so we decided to leave. Very poor service too busy doing the takeaway orders as more food went out the door than went to tables, we wasn't the only ones to be complaining about food orders taking ages. They ever need more cooks or taken less phone orders, I understand times have been hard but they are trying to do too much, they missed out on £200 tonight all because they focused on the phone orders rather than those seated.

Amazing service, the staff were extremely friendly and super efficient. The food was plentiful with a good variety and arrived on time piping hot as it should be. The whole atmosphere and vibe was lovely and relaxing, I can't understand why it wasn't packed out and would urge anyone looking to have a nice meal to visit the Golden Palace. The whole experience and friendliness of the staff made our anniversary meal into a lovely evening.

The best Chinese take-away we've had since I can remember. The items we chose were all cooked well, looked appetizing and above all was tasty! There was plenty to go around, the set menus were very generous. Wish I could visit Seaford again as I rather fancy kung Po chicken now, but it's too far 😟

We enjoyed the £20 all you can eat menu. Tasty food and friendly service.

Reasonable quality food for reasonable prices. Not the best atmosphere or Chinese food I've ever had but definately not the worst. Beat our initial expectations.
