"Welcome to the King's Head, a traditional inn with a modern touch in the heart of the historic town of Lewes, East Sussex. A warm welcome awaits with great food and drink and 3 fantastic boutique ensuite rooms available. An extensive, ever changing menu, featuring a Tapas menu, great beer, including Harvey's of course, The King's Head is located in one of the most historic and picturesque parts of Lewes. So whether you're dropping in for a pint or fancy a meal with family, friends or colleagues, we're only a 5 minutes walk from Lewes Railway Station - ideally placed, if you're on your way to The Amex, visiting Glyndebourne or want to host a special occasion."

Food looks exquisite and the alcoholic slush puppies are an excellent summer treat. Love the maximalism style interior decor too.

After watching these two on four in a bed they are total game players and did everything to win even deducted £42 for a zip on a pillow protector which smacked her in the face 🙈🤣🤣 really …. Total game playing and did whatever needed to win the other guy had a far better place and I would stay there for sure

I just watched 4inbed today, I was angry that this place won by cheating, the hosts were worst people I've seen on programme they are up there own backsides. This place was far from perfect thankfully I would never stay here.

Sunday lunch. It was delicious! Would Definitely say best roast in lewes. Atmosphere of the pub still has a little way to go but think the food is going to put the kings head back on the map. Can’t wait to go back!

Decided to call in here after a walk. Decor isn't the cosy pub we were hoping for but we were greeted by a really friendly lady (maybe the manager?), the staff were efficient and attentive even with a really big group on another table. The Sunday roast was superb. We both had the lamb and can recommend the Malbec to go with it.

Amazing boho pub! Fantastic 80’s music, really cool boho interior and amazing customer service by young girl at bar who was really friendly and accommodating to my family. Highly recommend. 5 stars! Thank you.

Such a change! Wonderful atmosphere. Busy with groups of young people. Currently the cheapest Harvey’s in town at £3:30 or was that £3:80? Still better than the usual £4:40.

Good stop if you have been to some of the outlying attractions of Lewes (Southdown Grange, Lewes Priory, Anne of Cleve's House).Only stopped for a refresher after doing these attractions, but the decor was interesting and felt quite quaint.Decent selection of drinks available, some that I haven't seen before, like koppaberg rum. Outside garden area available too but was a bit chilly for that so stayed indoors.Disappointed that people have reviewed this without actually having been here, just because it was on a TV show.

A pub that has sadly been closed for a long period but now reopened & refurbished with an eclectic style. Adorned with a motorcycle on display and decorated with wildlife wallpaper!! It feels like the Kings Head is trying to stand out with this unusual theme but unfortunately it's not a winner. Lewes has loads of very good pubs, stylish restaurants etc and the Kings Head does not add to this list. It's a shame because the Kings Head building is a lovely old structure but sadly ruined by the refurb.

Penny and team hosted our wedding reception. They were amazing. We had the pub for the day with Penny helping us with the table layout. Her staff then added the finishing touches so that I could get ready. The canapes and reception drinks were brilliant and the staff were incredibly helpful throughout the day. The food was amazing - having pulled pork, cheese boards and anything else we requested. A massive thank you to their head chef for going the extra mile with the bridesmaids requests with USBs and music! I would also recommend the rooms above the hotel. Each one is amazing and we had the Castle room for our first night as a married couple. Penny had kindly tidied the room, as the bridesmaids had got ready there earlier in the day, and left us both a takeaway box pizza (our evening food) which saved me from a worse hangover! I'd recommend if you're thinking of having a wedding at Southover Grange and want a local as a reception.
