Miah's Spice in Lewes

Zero authenticity, ordered this Balti and it is there own disgusting creation that is nothing like Balti from any where else how it should taste if it's called a balti, the korma was watery and basically just sugar tasting rather than coconut or cream. Very disappointed with the £17 I just spent.

Absolutely disgusting. Listen to bad reviews. If I could give one star I would. I even made an account just to write this review as I was so disappointed in the food and the customer service. When I rung up to complain I got told I was lying and that they never get complaints which I do not believe from reading the reviews. All the curry’s had the same sauce with added spice in some, all watery and very salty. The onions were raw and the meet was chewy and really bad quality. The rice was mushy ,If a Indian can’t even cook rice what are they doing? In the end we didn’t eat any of it, so disappointed. AVOID

Just to say I wasn’t sure after reading some of the reviews , but was I really surprised !It was hot and plenty of meat the most I have ever seen in a lamb curry not small chunks but big chunks melted in the mouth . With beautiful flavours and colours will use again . Thank you Miahs for a lovely meal

Terrible. We ordered a meal for it not to even show up. We ordered through the just eat app. It says it's been delivered but we've received no food. It's now gone 9pm and I'm a type 1 Diabetic who needs food regularly. Me and my partner have tried calling them multiple times but they're just letting the phone ring our. Wish I could give no stars.

I last ordered from here at the end of June and have not ordered again since then and will never order again. Firstly not every experience has been bad, some orders have been nice and some not so nice. I have never been so sick in all my life, I had to go to doctors who confirmed it was from something I had eaten and when telling them what I had it was obvious it was the indian, was sick and shivering layed in bed for 6 straight days, could only claim statutory sick pay as well so this takeaway cost me a week's wages and 6 days I'll never get back and the food was just plain awful. Partly my fault for eating it but chicken was chewy like it had been reheated and rice hard. All the foods texture was like it had been cooked and left sitting around and then heated before its delivery. The sight and smell of curry makes me feel sick now. Maybe it was a one off or something but it makes me wonder what there practices are. Not for me anyways, hope you all survive.

Worst food ever.Definitely cooked then frozen.As it tasted hot in areas and cold in others very tough meat.Spice was low for a Madras.Rice was mushy.Guessing the good reviews must have been on the lucky day it was cooked fresh.Never will we order from there again.

Sorry but if I could rate it lower I would! Turned up an hour later than told on phone. Have been recommended to use this place so I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately it’s the worst curry I’ve ever had (apart from the ones in oz) the chicken was hard, sauce mild/virtually tasteless, pilau rice...really??!! I thought onion bhajis were supposed to be crispy? Never had a rubber one until now!Wish I could say something positive but it really was that bad. U live and learn I guess

One of the worst curries I have ever had. We ordered a Balti, Vindaloo and Korma .The Balti was literally just rice and RAW onion. The Vindaloo was extremely watery and tasteless, and was more like tomato puree with spices thrown in. It was supposed to contain lamb but instead had chewy chunks of beef. The mint sauce is nothing more than plain yogurt with bright green food colouring (?!). The korma was described as being 'ok', and was also watery .The meat inside the keema naan tasted nasty, and the bread was only edible once it had been removed. The only saving grace was the coconut naan, which was quite nice. Do yourself a favor and order from one of the nearby Indian takeaways instead.

first time ordering from these guys and I will definitely be ordering from them again! The curry was the best I’ve ever had! And they were very polite and helpful on the phone too! Would highly recommend you try them out!
