Papa Johns in Lewes

I don’t take time to review places i go to but I had to make an exception for this “so called” restaurant. First things first, the waiting time is bloody horrible. They could give you a heads up but they don’t which is an issue. Secondly we got to talk about the overall experience being bloody dreadful. However i was famished and i was able to eat a very nice juicy pizza that i enjoyed. I have been to many places around the world and this one is decent but lacks creativity. Peace out everyone and stay healthy!

This store is RIDICULOUSLY slow without fail. The average wait is at least an hour, today it’s 90 minutes and still no word. Complaints make no difference Honestly, avoid, even if you’re starving – get a Dominos!Edit: 3 hours later, my pizza never came and it took a fortnight to get a refund. Don’t go here!

Cancelled our order after waiting for just under an hour and after the tracker saying that our order had been made and was being quality checked. Had a missed call from them so tried to call them back 7 times and no answer. Shocking. Don't waste your time.

I drove down to collect 20 minutes after placing the order and the employees hadn't even started the order. There were not even any customers as it was 1.30pm on a Wednesday. The staff clearly have no idea what they're doing!

High turn over of staff means none are trained to do the job at hand, lack customer service skills, seriously understaffed. Rude, missing orders, delayed .. just boycott!!Only one member of staff turely deserves praise I don't know his name but his underpaid and overworked, he was very polite, apologetic, seems like he would go above and beyond. Without him this branch would be closed.Generally, food is alright 👍

Had to wait 45 mins for them to even start proofing the order. I called to ask what was happening with my order was passed to the manager. He told me they are very busy and my order would be done when they have time and they have no delivery drivers so are waiting for a third party to be available to deliver. I asked to cancel and was told to contact customer services who were closed at that time. He then said when it turns up cold I would be able to get a refund.I couldn’t believe what he actually said. How ever a few minutes later the app said my order was in the oven. An hour and half later it arrived sausage and pepperoni pizza with no pepperoni. The Greek pizza with very few toppings except cheese.Contacted customer services told the store would be in contact but no contact. Followed up with customer service who still haven’t been in contact.I have used Papa Johns more times than I should of and the service from other stores has been very good however this store has something very very wrong with it. Would avoid at all costs.

Ordered a dairy free pizza and it came with dairy cheese. My wife is dairy intolerant and fortunately we spotted it wasn't the right cheese before eating as she would have become very ill indeed.It seems that this branch has gone massively down hill in recent months. The staff on the floor seem like they're doing their best when I spoke to them but they're clearly hugely over stretched and the management has very little regard for them or the customers.The staff told me that the management would arrange to speak to me at a later date but we never received a phone call.A real shame and a health and safety nightmare waiting to happen.

Terrible terrible terrible. 2 and half hours after ordering my pizzas they arrived cold. I live about 5 minutes walk away from this premises. Did they walk them over?Hungry people are not to be played with.Do not offer services you cannot literally deliver. It's probably best for you to be a Collection Only pizza shop. Judging by all the other similar comments.

It used to be good and now you have a 50/50 chance you’ll even get something within 3-4 hours. Don’t ever order for delivery. They obviously have staffing issues but I don’t understand why they accept orders when they can’t fulfil them. An independent takeaway would never get away with it. Staff seem aggrieved that you would even question why the pizza hadn’t even been made yet 2+ hours after ordering, and annoyed you would call them. Anyway I’m really ill, no food in the house, but jokes on me for thinking I’d get an “easy” dinner in; when I have been left with nothing at all.

The worst 2hours 35 minute wait to be told over the period of an hour and a half it was just down the road that's probably cost the shop is just down the rd. I cancel my order to be told I can't get a refund.The staff are rude and in helpfullHave these people never heard the line the customer is always right.Guess not .So I've now been charged 30 pound for food we didn't receive and refused a refund.
