Pelham Arms in Lewes

A really enjoyable family lunch for our first visit to The Pelham Arms today. We did book in advance as there are five of us and we didn’t want to be turned away. It was pleasantly busy but walk-ins were welcome and accommodated while we were there.The food was fantastic. Absolutely the most delicious burger I’ve ever tasted and I don’t really like burgers! The kids are extremely well. Fish and chips also very tasty. Beer selection was fine.Nice people, staff and diners.I definitely hope to return again.

My favourite pub in Lewes! It's cosy and welcoming with a big enough garden for summer evenings, even if a little shady.Its the only place I'll go for a drink and accidentally have a dinner out too. The burgers are phenomenonal and they make such good plant based options that the tofu burgers easily stand their ground against the meat options.I've never had a bad meal and more importantly, never had bad service. They have a great selection of local wines and it's the birthplace of Abyss Brewing so there is always something fun and tasty on tap!Oh, and don't get me started on their special Sundaes...!

A lovely family meal out. Attentive and super chatty staff made our evening. Knowledgeable about the food and drinks. Gorgeous burgers and the chips were well fried. Always a true test of a restaurant- if their chips are up to scratch! 10/10

Had a family Sunday lunch here. The staff are lovely, roasts were great and good options for kids also. The perfect cosy Sunday pub.

Warm cosy vibes after a long winter stroll on the downs. Mains were fantastic and the cheese board ever so generous! Staff is super friendly and attentive. Highly recommended 👌🏽

I have stumbled upon this place by a sheer coincidence and I couldn't have been more pleased. The staff was very friendly and nice. The pub is extremely cozy with its log fires and lovely beamed ceilings. They have different types of beer on the tap so even a fussed beer lover can find something to their liking. The food was delicious, it was obvious that it's made from good quality products and with care. If I ever happen to be in Lewes again (which I hope so) I will be more than happy to visit The Pelham Arms again.

A great pub with great service and really friendly staff. The meat and cheese platter made a great starter to share- all excellent local produce - a good choice of mains (some good stuff on the specials board) all well cooked and good value. There were good veggie options too. We booked a table for 6.15PM and it was already busy so recommend booking. There is free parking at the council offices across the road at weekends.

Lovely food. Brilliant service. Definitely go back there. Dog friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Excellent! Spoke to Dave to make the booking, food was great, desserts are not to be missed. We chose two and then had half each. We will be back.

Roast was delicious and some nice beers on, especially if you like Abyss. Great positioning for an end of Brighton to Lewes walk too.
