The Ark in Lewes

I had my dog with me we sat in the garden at the back of the pub. No worries about having our dog with us. Very helpful staff. We will be going back again.

Nice and welcoming pub atmosphere. Good beer and good food. The staff were very accommodating as well considering it seems like the entire occupancy of the local Premier Inn had been directed here due to their adjacent pub being closed.

Group of 5 dropped in for lunch, friendly staff, great beer selection and the food was fantastic.

Excellent food. I had a delicious, large prawn salad and my partner lived the fish and chips, especially the light batter. Really friendly staff who even saved the last fish fir us while we took a walk.

My food was very tasty as was the food of two others. The 4th group member's dish was not very big & not too special. Would still recommend the place as the staff was extremely attentive

Warm comfortable place to rest while waiting for ferry. Within sight of ferry terminal and dog friendly. They make a good cup of tea

Beautiful location overlooking Newhaven Harbour.Was clear. Staff were slow but friendly. Wow, the drinks were expensive. £4.60 for a pint of fosters.Clientele were.... Interesting...

Lovely open fire greets you. Friendly bar staff. Excellent food served up promptly and was delicious. Good coffee too. Certainly be going there for lunch again. Beautiful art for sale of Newhaven harbour.

Excellent fish n chips yet again served at The Ark....it is my favourite there and never disappoints light crispy batter with crispy chips side salad and coleslaw....we love sitting out on the decking watching the boats and the world go by with a drink or 2....always feel relaxed...Hubbie had the Ark Burger which was served in a fresh soft roll and he enjoyed it to the last bite and washed down with a nice Pino Grigio....fish is purchased from Bickerstaffs next door which is fresh off their boats and always Top quality....we look forward to try the Thai menu that is served on Wednesday's & Thursday's 😁
