The Cuckmere Inn in Lewes

Had a lovely family meal here, nice atmosphere, nice modern clean decoration inside. You can eat outside too. The staff were very helpful and friendly especially Chris our waiter. Service was very quick and the food was delicious, nicely plated up & piping hot. Reasonably priced. They were very careful about social distancing & how to behave inside the restaurant. I noticed that a couple of families there had dogs with them so the Inn is dog friendly too. Compared to some other restaurants I've been too recently I'd give this one 6 stars if I could 🙂👍 A big thank you to the Cuckmere Inn team.June 2022: another really great meal served up by Sarah again, tasted delicious, very quickly served up. Just popped in for a refreshing pint and packet of crisps during a walk along the 7 sisters. It was fathers day, so it was jam packed and no room for walk is. Plenty of space to sit outside though and take on the scenery. The pub has changed hands in the years I've been coming here, still good food, great beer and fabulous views though.

Service really slow. Food not as nice as the menu depicts it to be. A bit dry. Portions are small too. If you’re having a sandwich ask for it to have butter on. The atmosphere is lovely and it’s very picturesque. The staff are nice. Lovely outdoor space.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Cuckmere Inn, found the food to be well cooked & great quality. Very quick service & very polite & helpful staff, there are really fantastic view's across Cuckmere Haven.If there's one slight issue it is that the outside furniture could do with a spruce up.Watch out when you park your car, you must register it with the pub or you'll end up with a big fine.If your in the area give it a try you won't be disappointed.

It was awesome, I had visited it couple of times before the covid thing. This time in April 2020 it has even better than I remembered. You can get a free cake and coffee there...I did by signing up for another spam email and it worth it. Despite I have shared it with my peers, not the cake but the info about this freebies not all of them could get it. Surprisingly there was a long delay in food serving after 1:30pm and not all of my peers were left fed as we departed at 2pm. However hungry and complaining peers could not spoil the excitement of me having free cake at 1pm. The pub was bright with a lot of young staff who created the atmosphere of business where I was there on my own sharing three tables with myself and line of people who asked how to get a free cake and coffee.Try duck liver pate, that was good and worked well with the carrot and coriander soup. However nothing could compare to the free Eaton mess and a lot of mess was left when I gone...though, I was kind and left appreciation of the hard work of the waitresses and waiters. The skill of keeping yourself busy when none is around must me complemented and tipped!

Throughly enjoyed it here after a beautiful walk in surrounding area, great walking routes! Food was fantastic, great customer service and value for money. Will go again!!

Nice friendly pub, good menu with lots of variety. Staff were great and friendly. Only thing letting it down from 5* was several items missing from the menu. Looking forward to visiting again.

Had an amazing meal here last night. Lewis our server put the fire on for us as soon as we got there and then continued to be perfectly attentive towards us. The food was outstanding and very reasonably priced. You had a wide selection of drinks and overall one of the nicest pub dinners I've had in a while.

Really friendly staff, we were served by a lovely lady called Sarah, who was very friendly and helpful with our different requests. Good choice of food including for vegetarians. Parking on site, but remember to put down your vehicle registration number on arrival!

The customer service was brilliant. We booked the day before and were made to feel very welcome. The car parking is easy and set in a stunning location. The food was superb. We had the fish and chips and salmon. The sweet potato fries were delicious! Thank you to all for a fantastic 5 star experience. We would recommend this as a must visit to anyone. We will definitely be back.
