The Needlemaker Cafe in Lewes

Popped in on day out in Lewes. Fantastic place, all plant based. Had garlic mushrooms on spicy baked beans on toast and my partner had pancakes with not bacon. Both delicious and generous portions. Black coffee was great too. Good value meal, great staff, recommended. 👍🏻

Amazing food. Would defiantly go back again and recommend to others!The customer service over all was fantastic, friendly and helpful. However, as others have mentioned, some rudeness. I am vegan, however my friend isn’t and they asked an innocent question about the milks served here to enquire if there was any dairy (not knowing it was all plant based) and we got an unkind remark. Also had an unkind remark about us querying if we could order something from the children's menu. We were ordering a smaller portion for personal reasons and even though I was ordering a full meal, and we were getting drinks on top of that etc, we were made to feel bad.Keep making the incredible food but maybe speak to the team about customer service.I would go again for the food but in all honestly would hesitate choosing to go here again with others as I was embarrassed for my friend and it made the whole experience less enjoyable.

Such a lovely place to Enjoy either coffee and some Food or browse around lovely little shops.There is a car parkRight next to it which isn’t that expensive too.

Amazing place in Lewes for my husband's birthday treat today. Dog friendly and great service. The food was amazing. Recommended is the American Burger with loads of chips. I'd also try the rhubarb and custard kombucha as tastes like your favourite sweets

Stumbled into this plant based cafe on a stroll around lewes. Large portions at a fair price, in a well designed location.Although the best things on the plate were the traditional fruit and veg (the cherry tomatoes and the mushrooms were exceptional), the meal still hit the spot. Service was a little grumpy but seemed to be a handful of individuals rather than the whole staff.

Perfect vegan scrambled 'egg' tofu on sour dough toast. Absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. Great market place eatery atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Wow the food here is amazing. Great range of vegan food, not that you would realise it was vegan.

Their plant based pub in Brighton recently won the award for the best roast dinner in the city - not just best vegan - best roast period. In their Lewes cafe, they serve a breakfast deserving of equal praise - alongside superb coffee!
