The Nutmeg Tree in Lewes

Lovely little cafe, with friendly staff. Very attractive outside courtyard seating for when the weather is nice. Good breakfast/lunch selections and nice choice of cakes/treats. Can get very busy in peak lunchtimes, but they do takeaways. Cappuccinos were good.

Great place for breakfast, lunch, & afternoon tea. Very kind friendly staff great food, outside garden is lovely & dogs are welcome. Lots of amazing cakes to choose from.

A charming tea room, with garden, in a the quaint village of Ditchling. The staff dress as Victorian maids and there's a bike rack through the gate on the left of the entrance. I recommend the giant macaroons. Hillary Benn MP signed the order to create the South Downs National Park here.

Visited several times over a weekend away. Absolutely fab service, love the waitress uniforms! The cakes are to die for, teas great and breakfasts are delicious. Best tea room I've ever been to!

Visited here 3 time's service and food were excellent everytime absolutely delicious cakes & scones etc, breakfast super deliciousAccidentally left my granddaughter's umbrella there and they posted it back to me what more could you ask. Best to book to avoid disappointment

A lovely lunch. Staff so very kind and friendly. My husband was in wheelchair. My son who had booked a table went in on arrival and came out with member of staff who directed him to another door. They produced a mobile ramp to enable us to get wheelchair over step threshold.Tables were moved to get us in and then ramp removed and door shut. Our table was near this door so no one else could enter that way.Would highly recommend the Nutmeg Tree. Pity we live too far away to eat there regularly.

Lovely food and a good service. A proper old English tea room and so much more. I srop here every time I go through the village which is also a lovely place to visit

A little gem of a cafe in Ditchling. Great selection of meals, hot and cold drinks and some delicious cakes. This was our first visit, but won't be our last. Helpful and friendly staff dressed in the style of the 1940's with a soundtrack to match. Well worth a visit

A lovely English tea room which were able to cater for us last minute even though we had a large buggy. They had a highchair for my toddler but changing facilities were a changing mat which I had to lay on the floor of the toilets as I couldn't find any surfaces. Apart from that awkwardness they building is lovely and staff very welcoming.

What a lovely little tea shop. Situated in the middle of Ditchling village, it's cramped and small, but in a cozy good way. We sat outside and had the cake cream tea and every piece of it was delicious. The staff were super friendly and even sang happy birthday to my girlfriend. Highly recommend.
