The Old Plough in Lewes

We were looking for fish and chips to take with us and eat on seafront . Saw the Old Plough and thought we'd eat here and have a drink. We had the 2 course menu for £10.99. Couldn't fault it. Freshly cooked hot food. Good atmosphere. Thanks.

Party of three had rump steak, fish and chips and scampi and chips on Sunday. All three were very pleased with their meals -especially the steak. Very good value. The service was exceptional. Highly recommended

Went to the plough for some lunch and the options are brilliant .. the menu is extensive and vegan/vegetarian friendly. The staff are delightful and provide great service. Would highly recommend if you are looking for good food in a relaxed, friendly environment.

One of the best pubs in Seaford. Very popular, friendly place with super food and lovely staff. The outside area is large and splendid for meeting friends for drinks on a warm summers day.

We ended up here by accident. We were looking for a fish restaurant we'd found on Google. Saw a solitary parking spot with this quant looking pub opposite. I went in to ask if they served food. Response, yes Sir we certainly do, please sit anywhere and someone will come to your table. We have lived in France for 22 years and they just do not do Fish and chips justice. We both opted for it. I had a smoked chicken terrine with caramelized onion chutney which was superb. The cod was perfect, large, boneless tasty with crispy batter. The chips were hot and plentiful. My wife enjoyed a luscious cherry cheesecake. The service was efficient, prompt and friendly, all food delivered with a genuine smile and enquiry into our satisfaction. The lovely young lady who took our payment was charming and genuinely interested in our opinion. All in all a fabulous end to our visit to the UK. Well done all of you.

This is a lovely old looking Pub with an outdoor seating area. Clean and tidy. The food is good but the chip portion 🍟 could be bigger. No locks on the cubicle doors in the gents loo 🚽😳🤨 The staff are friendly and helpful. Would go there again.👍

Found this lovely pub quite by chance whilst in Seaford meeting friends. I was with my mum and two friends. We sat outside outside and were served by very friendly and helpful staff.Quite a few things were missing from the menu but it was very clear what was or was not available. We were all able to have exactly what we wanted. I had the lasagne which was delicious and at £6 , excellent value. My mum had the kids sausage & mash and our friends had crumble. Everything was enjoyed.We would certainly visit again.

Excellent and attentive service. Friday night and the place was busy with great atmosphere. Drinks were reasonable with bottle of nice house wine for 13£. Huge menu, food was hearty pub fare and you can see the new management is stepping it up with good quality ingredients and taste. Bill was £41 for beer, bottle wine, steak and fish n chips, amazing value for money. Great local pub.
