The Salts Cafe in Lewes

I like dogs. Don’t get me wrong. But way this otherwise nice cafe allows dog owners to let their dogs run around here is VERY off-putting. It’s not complicated - please have a rule that means that dogs stay on a lead. There are other cafes on the seafront at Seaford where the dogs are less important than the customers (& with lovely sea views) & that’s where you’ll find me from now on.

I think it's a great place for coffee and a cake whilst the kids play. The decor is also nice and fun.Top tip for the owners - sort the hot/cooked food out, it's awful 😖 !! You could have a real gem if you got this bit right

Awful service took nearly half an hour for a veggie sausage sandwich. The food was inedible. Should not allow dogs inside the barking was ear piercing and unpleasant. Until they sort themselves out I shall not go there.

A simple little cafe on the sea front, ideal for coming with kids.It's situated right in a play area making it great for kids and families to visit. There some indoor and outdoor seating too.Very basic menu on offer, but good for a quick coffee stop more than anything.

Great little cafe, perfect spot for customers. There is one criticism, the furniture and decor does put me off using it more. Please lose the nets and update your furniture to make it more inviting to your regulars :) Seaford is a windy place and customers like to take shelter inside from the elements and eat a great ice cream

Decent location. The female member of staff came across as very deadpan, maybe she was having a bad day. I considered the coffee expensive at £2.50 for a large. Will visit again for sure. A smile goes a long way.

Just off the beach, tucked away from the wind, lies the salts, with playground, fields, skate park, tennis courts. And there, you will find a nice café, offering an eclectic selection of food, hot drinks and ice creams, a marriage of traditional Sussex fare and Italian gusto. Highly recommended to recover from physical activities.

Lovely fry up. Good hash browns and we were able to sit outside with the dogs to eat

Nice enough cafe with lots of food, drink and treat options available. However, the prices for the food quantity and quality we're high with the service taking a long time. Plus the facilities were not really sufficient for the capacity. However they had contactless payment and was open on a bank holiday Monday, overall worth a visit if you ain't too fussy.
