Gaab Kao Thai Restaurant Maidstone in Maidstone

Do not order from this place. Will give you a scarce amount of food as i assume they can get away with ripping people off through delivery services. after spending £14.39 i recieved around 6 very small pieces of chicken which were extremely rubbery, as were the vegetables surrounding it. Paired with half a handful of sticky rice served in a plastic bag. Flavour was nice but that's due to the sauce; not because of any quality cooking.

Best Thai food I have tasted in Maidstone, I tried them all. This is by far the best in terms of value, portion sizes and taste.

We went without reservation at half eight in the evening and the staffs were very friendly and polite gave us a table. Food was good and tasted authentic. Nice morden ambiance.

Oh dear 😕1. Tom Kha soup was very average, a marked deterioration as compared to the previous Thai restaurant that was at this location (Gaab Kao)2. Stick Rice was an inedible block, which they immediately changed for plain rice3. Dipping sauce had a leftover of previous customer's fish cake in it!!! 🤮 Waitress argued that it is impossible and they can check cctv whether my mother-in-law has dropped it. For the sake of £7 did they really think that we would make it up? Gross, although they deducted the fish cakes from the billThis was the second time we visited. The first time we visited the menu was filthy but the food was much better then with more authentic ingredients. The fish cakes were actually quite good, but the half-eaten piece of fish cake hidden in the dipping sauce totally put us off. Interestingly, their food hygiene score is down from 5 to 4 (compared to previous restaurant)Sadly this establishment seems to be going in the wrong direction

Been here a few times and I was never disappointed. The food always come out delicious and always fresh. The staff have always been very friendly and polite. Can’t fault anything, best Thai restaurant in Maidstone

I scratched my head sitting their in the fantastic Gaab Kao restaurant. It is conveniently located on the high street. The interior neon light detailing is straight out of Bangkok. The staff are lovely, helpful and attentive. There is loads of comfy toasty seating. The menu is extensive and offers traditional Thai dishes and a range of specials to suit you herbivore, carnivore or pescatarian needs. The menu even includes a huge list of allergen details associated with the dishes.So what about quality and value for money? It ticks both boxes admirably.I can only think it lacks customers during the week is because of the competition. Anyway, all the better for diners that do decide to go. You can happily stretch out and enjoy beautifully prepared Thai food in a trendy, sociable environment.

Excellent customer service and food here. Staff are friendly and attentive and the food is on point. I've spent alot time in Thailand and the food here took me back. Being from Australia good thai food is plentiful and since moving here I thought it was going to be a mission to find good thai food again having already tried a couple places already. Lovely Thai restaurant. I must to admit I was a little bit concern so nice all the Thai restaurants in Maidstone were down the hill.This one was lovely and perfect .... exquisite food. Well presented, tasty.The service was impeccable , polite and fast.The restaurant is new , modern and spacious... loved the music.Highly recommend it and of course I will be back.

Great food, great staff, great everything. Can get a little noisy when busy (I visited at around 7:30pm on a Friday evening).Friendliest staff I've ever met. Great selection of authentic Thai food. I tried the chicken cashew nut stir fry with jasmine rice which was beautiful. Highly recommend the chicken satay skewers and for something a little unusual, the chocolate and banana spring rolls!Would definitely recommend, will definitely be visiting again in the near future.
