Prices have suddenly gone up and chicken tasted a bit like fish, recipe has definitely changed.

My son in particular loves this place. Always opt for the bigger portion, easily feeds 2. Always good quick service and never had a duff meal yet

This place used to be good, cooked with a nice authentic touch, now it tastes as if 14 year olds make it. Sushi Average 6/10.

Good place for eating or take away, the food is really good for the money!

They used to have fairly decent sushi, but not anymore. The sushi are dry, tasteless and badly made (fall apart). They also switched the soy sauce to something that may look like it, but tastes not even close to soy sauce. Will never go again.

For my son s birthday, he only wanted to eat sushi so we decided to grab some in town. Not only it took 2 hours to prepare 1 platter 5 gyosa and a tuna salmon set, the platter selection wasn t great mainly california rolls made with unripe avocado, one of the set was meant to have Salad and edemame beans well it had a spoonful of cut lettuce and literally 3 beans....very disappointed indeed. You know you ll get an big bill when ordering sushi but that wasn't t worth nor the wait nor the money!

I have never left Kokoro feeling unsatisfied. I have only had the chicken Katsu curry with white rice (Large which is the largest option) but everytime I get it, I am full towards the end and feelings like I over ate at the end. Despite this and me telling myself when I leave that I will get regular (The next size down from large and the smallest option), I still continue to get large because the food is just that amazing. The hot food and sushi/sashimi variety is many and so is the cold food in the fridge but the amount of cold food pales in comparison to other Kokoro around England. An example of a food item that is missing in this location is cheesecake. When you have the food ready to eat, you can either choose different plastic cutlery like forks, knifes and spoons or you can choose their traditional wooden break away chopsticks. Feel free to use the plastic cutlery but it's much more authentic if you learn to use chopsticks. You can take some home and practice. They also don't seem to mind if you bring your own chopsticks (which is what I do).The building has two levels, the ground floor where the entrance, fridge and counter is on has a few tables, chairs and a cutlery station but upstairs have many more tables and chairs as well as a second cutlery station. The first time you go upstairs might feel weird because it's up a spiral stair case and down this strange corridor which opens out into the room as you go around the corner. On the second time and beyond, it'll feel normal. The food service is relatively quick and the staff are also very kind. Some will ask you where you want the sauce whereas others will just add it on in a specific way without asking. If you use a tray with your food, it is unclear what you're supposed to do with it when you've finished. Originally I left it on the table which I now believe is wrong but after taking it downstairs, I realised there is no where to put it apart from in the hands of a staff member who you might have to get the attention of from the kitchen. It's not too bad after your third time going and beyond but can be a slightly confusing the first couple of times.
