Fantastic pub, has a really nice atmosphere and the food is top quality. Amongst our group people chose the Sunday roast, the George burger and a few side dishes and everything was cooked to perfection. The staff here are brilliant, always happy to help with a constant smile on their faces. The photo attached is just one of the Sunday roasts delivered to our table. The pub has good parking behind it, next to a huge outdoor green space with tables so it's a perfect summertime pub. Will definitely be making more visits.

So the beer is ok but a bit pricey. The food is great and well worth the long wait.

Sat out in the courtyard on a Saturday for lunch. Great food and great staff. Would definitely come again if we’re ever in the area.

Great location and absolutely lovely staff and owner! However the only problem I had was the food I ordered wasn't very good, I ordered a pizza and it was undercooked, greasy and the toppings just fell of as soon as I lifted a slice up! But I've been here before and the other food has been good!

The George marks an impressive sight with its prime location between Yardlng’s High street and its scenic waterside bridge. The gated entrance to the veranda is filled with people deliberating the days events while taking a gasp on cigarettes.Once inside you are met with a space for the sports stars to shine on the darts ockey. It does initially have that sports lounge feel to it mixed into its historic underpinnings. As I rounded the corner to the “restaurant”, a grouping of tables, I was met by the specials board and the expansive menu.Pizza is one of the pubs specials, which is echoed in the adverts decorating the pub’s exterior. I went for something a little lighter, salad and pasta. It’s value pub grub and decently portioned. It won’t set the heart and taste buds alight. It is bloody good value for money. The cheapest 2 courses I’ve had at a shade under £17.
