No idea why so many 5* reviews. Seems strange. This restaurant does not return phone calls or respond to emails. So, if you want to book a table, this most definitely is NOT the place. Terrible customer service! We'll take our booking for a table for 10 somewhere else. Namely, a restaurant that does want your business.8/4/22 Update...It was my wife that emailed and my sister that called. Yes, 100%, it was your restaurant. Your had the email inquiry and you had phone call (that went to your voicemail with a clear and concise message left). No response from either.

We were told the kitchen was busy and it will take 30 minutes before we can order which we did and waited . One hour and half later still nothing had arrived and no staff came to give us any information so we asked about our orde and were told it will take about 40 minutes before we get serve. We swore we would never go back due to the lack of service yet we did and what a costly mistake. £190 for 2 adults and 3 children for yet again, slow and poor service. Bland food. Need I go on…I amNot one to complain but when we are spending such monies for a Sunday dinner…I feel it warrants it especially when they did not even acknowledge the fact that they knew they were slow, they knew the whole service and food was poor. £190 to constantly ask “please can we have another drink?” or “please can we have some sauce?” or “please can you clear our plates”. Not even a gesture of good will. There uniform should be blind folds and black & white jumpers. It’s safe to say that we will not be visiting there for food ever again. A drink in the summer maybe due to the decking / garden but a sit down meal - No way never. I have so many friends moving from Tonbridge to Coxheath…I have assured them that unless the Tickled Trout either recognise this review, employ more staff or change the chef then this Gastro Pub will not be there local for food nor drinks. Such a shame as previously this place used to be amazing…

Easy relaxed dining. Excellent menu. Great food. Service a little erratical but forgivable when busy.

I love this cozy dog friendly pub. From the outside to the inside - great decor, great ambiance and great customer experience. Good quality food and great portion size. The food was amazing. The coffee was also very good. The staff were amazing 🤩Impressive clean toilets which makes me feel I’m in safe hands here. I would highly recommend this pub and look forward to returning soon. 😍😍👌🏾👍🏽

Only popped in for a drink but no seats apart from one small 2 seater sofa (table waiting area) and a couple of chairs that thankfully someone gave up as there table was ready. Extremely inexperienced young staff (I know they have to start somewhere) who didn't even know what one of the gins were that the pub served. Managed to get some cheesy chips as a snack but wish we hadn't as they were greasy and also tasted like the cheese had been scrapped of some garlic bread.

We didn't stop in for food just a quick pint on the way home, however the staff were fantastic. We had a great conversation with the manager and the chefs all very pleasant. The bar/restaurant was very appealing and welcoming and the menu looked mouth watering and certainly encouraged me to bring the family up for a meal at some point in the near future.

We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for our Sunday roast. There simply weren’t enough staff working, the person who served us was apologetic and we did feel for her, but it didn’t change the fact we waited that long.As for the food, starters were very small and not worth the money. Roast was ok, beef was a little dry/over cooked, belly of pork was very small. The trimmings were nice.

Very smart presented Pub/ Restaurant in the countryside. Very lovely staff members. Fantastic food, perfect portion size. Very good house cider. Massive outdoor eating area and under cover. Highly recommended.
