The White Horse in Maidstone

Nice pub overlooking the Green. Beer garden in the front where you can sit and watch the cricket. Interior clean and bright. Good staffing levels mean not long to wait for service. Nice place to spend an hour or 2.

I'm afraid I'm not overly impressed. It looks good and has a lovely outside area and inside is pretty good too. It has a car park which is a bonus.The food and drinks are too expensive particularly as the food quality is not great. I have visited more than once before leaving this review because I believe anyone or anywhere can have a bad day. The pub is part of the Mitchell and Butler group which in my experience has varying standards. The Horseshoes in East Farleigh is part of the same group and in the same sub group too and we have always had good food and service there. If you like Bearsted , and we do cross the field to Oak on the Green for a far better experience.

A very pleasant family lunch at The White Horse. The food and service were very good, and the staff made us feel very welcome. We had our 9 month old grandaughter with us, a highchair was quickly made available to us, and positioned so that she was fully included in the lunch.

Booked a table for 4 yesterday for lunch. The menu was quite extensive and most dishes sounded attractive. I settled for Prawn & Crab Linguini...it was so good! My wife chose the same which ended with two very satisfied customers. My daughter had chicken and her huband had pork belly. Both said how well their choices were cooked & presented. Our waiter (Tom?) was attentive and charming. Well done all.

My wife and I had our first night out in a while and this is where we first met 10 years ago! We were served by Nori who gave us some great food and drink suggestions. We had a great time! Thank you!

Fantastic experience, food was lovely staff were great. We had this waitress called Nori and she was amazing friendly and nothing was to much trouble . Would definitely go back

Great night out firstly We was Greeting by Manager call Mirek. We been showed our table ask for drinks straight to way and this was top up by wonderful meal our server Nori was pure perfection and make our night she is real asset to company thank you and see you soon

I visited with friends at lunchtime yesterday. I was told we couldn’t have coffee as they didn’t have any milk! I suggested they went across the road to buy some , this was rejected. I find it incredible that a restaurant can function without this basic commodity unless all food is pre-cooked when bought in.? However they were happy to serve wine and cocktails with our lunch!

We were in here for 3 hours because the service took so long. The quality of food was poor for the price and the entire pub smelt badly of sewerage. Portion size was left to be desired, all round dissapointing - won't be going back.
