Vesuvius in Maidstone

Had a great family meal here - kids portions can be made up from the excellent choices. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and the service was excellent.The mains were slightly longer than expected out of the kitchen, but did not impact on the enjoyment of the evening.

Flawless. I’ve eaten here on numerous occasions and have never had a meal less than perfect and always been greeted by warm, attentive staff. Lovely atmosphere, beautiful fresh authentic Italian food, an absolute gem.

Fantastic Italian restaurant! Authentic food in a relaxed environment. I would say this is one of the best restaurants in Maidstone. So nice to dine in an independent family run restaurant. Great range of starters, mains and desserts. The rustic presentation is nothing amazing but the authentic flavours more than compensate for this. I was also impressed by the drinks menu. Service was friendly, fast and attentive.

Really fine authentic Neapolitan food. A nice clean and comfortable restaurant which offers a good selection of wines and spirits and reqlly good friendly service. The food is probably the best Italian cuisine in town. Recommend both the sharing platters! Worth repeated visits, never a disappointment.

What a discovery - authentic Italian food here in Maidstone! Our first visit to Vesuvius and it certainly won't be our last.Thank you to Alessandro, his partner and team, who have created something unique in Maidstone.Having enjoyed traveling in Italy, we love Italian food. Vesuvius doesn't only serve fantastic food but the atmosphere inside feels like a little bit of Naples right here on our doorstep.Our food choices included aubergine, seafood, and steak, which were delicious.With the steak, the recommended wine was Gragnano, a sparkling red served chilled, imported from a spot close to the foot of Mt Vesuvius itself. It paired perfectly with the steak - an enjoyable surprise!The dessert menu was another thing too - my wife is a bit of a tiramisu expert, having tried many throughout Italy, and was delighted. For me, the hot dark chocolate pudding with white chocolate inside...Safe to say, we're looking forward to our next visit!
