Golden Fish Bar in Medway

Been using this place for over 20 years but the last few times the cod batter has been soggy and the portion size on the chips has shrunk despite it now costing nearly £9!!Used to be loads of chips, but now you have to ration them as you get through the fish to make sure you don't run out. Stop being stingy on the chips it must cost pence to put an extra scoop in. You get bigger portions elsewhere for about £7.

Fair price for good quality and quantity food traditional fish n chips friendly service

Being from north i found it a bit steep for fish and chips. But impressed it was a good chunk of fish, more of a door wedge thickness. I'd go back again.

Best chippy in Medway. All fish cooked to order - so no 2 day old reheated food here! They are very Covid friendly here. Fast service and delicious food!

Proper fish n chips and big portions, Bit pricey but individually cooked for each customer. . If you dont want to wait for your fish to be cooked, then phone ahead. My family eat from here once a week, fone the order in, wait 10 minutes and collect. They have never forgotten my salt and vinegar, so i wont knock off four stars from my rating...lol.

I work here and it's the best job I've had, hence why I haven't left. The other staff make me feel like family and the regulars put a smile on my face. The food is always great and cooked fresh. We try and do our best to resolve complaints (we like to know, that way we can improve our service). We can cook the food to the customers preference, if that'll be gluten free fish or double fried chips. We constantly hear we are the best Fish & Chip shop around!

The best takeaway fish and chip shop around. My number one goto for fish and chips. Don't be too shocked about the queue that is often out of the door, they are quite quick and the fish is cooked to order. If you've love fish and chips you won't be disappointed.

Travelled from West London to the best fish and chip shop ever! Service is great, all so friendly. Portions are perfect, so filling, chips are thick and soft, cod is incredible! Saveloy tasted perfect. All for a great price. Amazing amazing amazing! Definitely a place to get your fish & chips. Worth the travel!
