New Shad in Medway

Moved to the area October 2021. Couldn't find a top class Indian restaurant or takeaway to my liking. Went here on recommendation from someone. Wow wasn't disappointed, very friendly, great pint on draught and excellent food at a decent price.Restaurant modern clean decor. Can't recommend highly enough. Best in the area and surrounding areas. Will definitely be using all the time.

10/10 every time we visit, we have celebrated birthdays, engagement, friends visiting and just when we fancy a meal out at the Shad. Always very happy!

Tried New Shad for the first time tonight, it was gorgeous. Delivered quick, hot from kitchen to plate. Lovely flavours, no grease or oil (like some) and tasted delicious. A solid menu with lots of choice - cannot wait to try this again!

Nice place, great staff. Food was good at a reasonable price. The interior isn't the best but the good service and food makes up for it. Was very busy even for the early evening on a Tuesday night.The main negative is the parking, on a busy road it's hard to find.Will definitely be going back!

Good food but very tight and quite loud. Spicy is actually spicy which is both awesome and rare. Very busy atmosphere, service was unfortunately slow and a bit chaotic.

Spotless restaurant serving draught beer. My husband states it was like eating in a teenagers bedroom with constant changing lights.We were not warmly welcomed on a quiet Sunday night into a restaurant with 3 tables who were nearly finished. Whilst there only one other customer arrived. Although polite, there was an edge to the service.The food generally well seasoned & presented. Lamb very tough, channa masala bland & peshawari naan leathery & tasteless.We have very light appetites & politely cleared our plates. Never discussed eating somewhere else again on the way home as we were still "left wanting". Quite an unusual experience.

Just had our first take away from New Shad.All food was delivered piping hot. Gorgeous food, really good flavours and nothing left.Will definitely be ordering again.

I took my staff for a Christmas meal and was not disappointed. Fantastic evening along with exceptional food and customer service. I would highly recommend and I will be visiting again. Many thanks to all the staff at the New Shad

The best Curry in Strood. The staff are very pleasant and the food is great. They also offer takeaway, the wait can sometimes be well over an hour. Once the food came cold, they quickly brought a brand new batch of food.
