Rowlands Bistro in Medway

We have just come back after taking mum for a mother's day meal. They were incredibly busy and the team were running around like mad. Even though they were that busy, the food was excellent (as always) the service was flawless (as always) and we had a really lovely time (as always).We have been going to Rowlands for years and have NEVER had a bad experience.Thanks to everyone at Rowlands for another great evening out.

Very good service and food was lovely. Everybody happy in a party of 12. Only thing was interior could be a bit more spruced and cheerful but didn't detract from an enjoyable afternoon

Rowland's has been a favourite of ours for years. Always guaranteed a delicious meal and superb service. Busy even during the week, which speaks volumes. Can't fault it.

Don't be put off by the decor. Menu was varied and very good. Friendly staff and very welcoming

1st time visit to Rowlands Bistro to celebrate my wife's birthday we were a party of 6 had some lovely meals, great atmosphere and very reasonably priced. Thank you Rowlands. We will certainly visit again

I was at Rowlands with my workmates. Loved it the atmosphere. The food was delicious.I was a bit disappointed that there was no apple pie or apple crumble, but plum crumble did the trick. It was delicious.The salamon with broccoli was perfect.Other than the food, the bartender was friendly and polite, all the staff was friendly.The bistro it self is a bit outdated. Could do with a little paint and upgrading.

Staff are very friendly, they accommodated a large group of us for a christmas dinner.I quite enjoyed the satay chicken starter. The mains I opted for Mediterranean chicken but found it very dry so probably will avoid that one. The pudding was absolutely scrumptious! I loved the chewy meringue it was gorgeous.Cocktails were quite nice too.

Rowlands was very busy with all tables full. All three courses were served hot and in a timely manner. Really pleased with my choices and really enjoyed the night and atmosphere.

The staff were very friendly and attentive but the restaurant needs updating it all looks very old and tired. The meal was cheap and we got what we paid for. We had a Sunday beef dinner, it was ok but the beef was prepacked and the veg was frozen . We would rather have paid more for all fresh ingredients and proper roast potatoes. The meal was served on nice hot plates and was tasty but not the best .

It was very busy the evening we went but was a Saturday so to be expected, however it did make for a very noisy atmosphere. That said it wasn't so noisy you couldn't speak. The staff were all pleasant. The surroundings were ok but in some areas I thought tables were too close to one another and for us on this occasion were next to the kitchen entrance and pay area so not the nicest position. Food wise it was all very nice and good proportions for the money. There could have been a bigger choice on the menu but nonetheless there was something for everyone. I would return again but in the hope of getting a better table location next time.
