The Command House in Medway

Nice decor, but that's where the positives end.Service was slow and poor. Having bought drinks, we were initially told that the kitchen was closed. This was corrected though.My starter came out with my partner's main dish. When I informed the staff we wanted the mains together, the reply was "I'll put it on the hot plate then". Hence my partner's main course was severely dry.Food overall was sub par for the money and small. Starters are a complete rip. Nearly £6 for four small cubes of chicken on sticks. The main courses were 'limited' compared to the menu and had to settle for the chicken burger meals, not really ideal for a night out. Could've gone to KFC for better.There was a small party at the bar buying drinks and looking very frustrated with the bar tender. Both bar and food staff have no idea.

Overall very impressed. Staff very welcoming and attentive. Food excellent, great varied selection. Would certainly recommend it. In addition, building is steeped in history.

Stunning location, nicely refurbished. Very attentive staff. Food delicious and good price. Had a toast turkey and roast beef dinners. Highly recommend. Car park nearby will be back to try something else

Such a lovely building, looks so pretty since the refurb. Had the sharer nachos and they were 10/10. The pork belly burger and that was the best burger I’ve ever had! And for dessert the Eton Mess sundae and it was so lovely. Fully enjoyed the meal and had a lovely atmosphere. Could not recommend The Command House enough. Had lovely service from Vicky.

Pubs decorated lovely, friendly staff, dogs welcome. Good range on menu. So definitely some positives.I'm sure their new team over time will improve.But ......Pigs in blankets came delayed: sausage under cooked and bowl contained like an inch of oilRoast beef - very fatty!Probably the most fat I've seen on slices of beef in a restaurant.Drinks were like 80% Ice CubesFood came out in stages and not togetherOne error on bill identified after leaving so was overcharged.Outside seating looks perfect for summer.

I phoned to book a table here yesterday they said they would email me so I could pay £10 deposit, no email arrived. I phoned back and was told that the email had failed to be send, I called another 3 times and left a message, someone called me back and said just pop in we are not busy and there will be a table for you. Imagine my surprise when we get there and was told there wasn't a table, but in the end we magaed to get one. The good was lovely waitress excellent. It would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for the debacle of trying to book a table

Absolutely superb visit to this newly refurbished pub.Food quality and drink range was fantastic.The staff were welcoming and attentive, 5 star service.The building itself since it’s refurb is beautiful inside and out, with a fantastic garden area overlooking the river.Well worth a visit now it’s under new ownership, a new favourite place for me to visit in the area and I’d recommend a visit to all!

A Hidden Gem on the Waterfront !!! Special thanks to Sadie !!!I had the pleased of discovering this gem whilst staying with a friend in Chatham - three visits in three consecutive nights with food. Wonderful food, great price range and value for money. However the greatest asset being the staff !!! A very special mention to the very charming Sadie (Mercedes!) who was simply wonderful, totally welcoming, and who is a wonderful ambassador for the business ! Thank you Sadie !!Kind Regards Steve

Went on a sunny Sunday lunch time and had the Sunday roast. Massive portions with free extra Yorkshire puddings and gravy - can’t go wrong with that! Beautiful views and great atmosphere inside too
