The barmen were fine an pleasant but the kitchen let the side down. It was over an hour to get the food after two reminders. It was Mid-afternoon and though busy with customers there weren't a lot of food orders coming out. When the food did arrive the quiche was hard enough to use as a hammer. The burger was good and juicy but lacked seasoning. The third meal was fine. Really good chips! The bar staff replaced the quiche with something else, and were apologetic and a bit embarrassed. Had the food been good a 4 or 5 star review would have been given.

Lovely clean ladies toilets ! Makes a change to the recent places we have visited. Very nice and friendly welcome. We didn't order food, garden was busy and there were some table games available. Would return.

Popped in for a quick drink whilst waiting for friends. The pub was busy as it was a Saturday but the atmosphere was good. The staff were very friendly. The garden area was very nice. Recommend a visit.

One of my favourite high street pubs. Friendly staff and a Sunday lunch par excellent. ( Advisable to book ). Come the summer there's a cracking garden as well.

My partner and I have been there for Valentine's day. A great evening with an impeccable service and fine dining experience by Ben's cuisine. Highly recommended.

Traditional pub, exactly what you expect in a pub. Good beer selection and cask ales. Tables and comfy sofa seating. Great garden in the back. Pub menus standard pub fare. Middle of the high street. Background music would be nice.

This is a brilliant pub. The food is excellent especially when Ben is the duty chef, it's not a fast food joint so you have to wait while it's cooked properly. Ben has worked in some dam posh restaurants so his whole attitude is good food and repeat customers. I recommend the shepherd's pie, its massive and tasty also the pie of the day was steak, its not the normal pastry lid on a pie mix it's a full pastry pie top and bottom with massive lumps of well cooked meat
