We were attending a wedding at Cooling Castle just down the road but we didn't want to stay there so, we booked in to this lovely place. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. It was a lovely cosy atmosphere.   Room was very nice, with en-suite, very clean, slept well.  Breakfast was very tasty too.We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others.  🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

If you want to eat some of the best pub food I've tasted in a long time, next to a roaring fire place and drink with the friendliest bar staff and locals around, then this really is the place for you. We also booked a room as we got married in the day and it was clean, large and homley. A big thank you to all the staff, the owner Kevin and everyone who made our evening perfect. Will definitely be coming back again soon.

The pub is an old school friendly village pub, good beer on tap. We have eaten here several times, always impressed. On this occasion we had an Xmas family meal. Friendly service. Food was perfectly cooked and plentiful. My wife had the vegetarian option and although she can be picky she really enjoyed her choices. I have recommended this pub to friends and family for a meal.

We had a two night stay here for a wedding down the road. Our double room was comfortable and had all we needed. The bathroom down the hallway wasn't a problem for us and the shower was hot and powerful! We had drinks and ate tea and breakfast in the restaurant. The food was amazing: everything we ate was delicious! There was also a wide range of drinks on offer and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely visit again!

Had a great meal here recently, midweek..Due entirely to that experience, we opted for Sunday Roast here today.. unfortunately, this experience wasnt so good..Staff are excellent, friendly but not ' in your face friendly'.. beer and wine prices are as expected, so average. Now to the food... meat and veg were excellent, however not all veg advertised on the menu was actually on the plate.Yorkshire puddings were huge..Unfortunately, the roast potatoes were neither crispy on the outside, nor fluffy on the inside.. even worse tho, they were almost cold..We will stick to midweek meals in future..Shame...

Beautiful looking pub.Very attentive and helpful staff always looking out for you making sure you are looked after. The pub is so nice and in a village and get all the feel of open space and tranquility. No need to worry about bringing your children here as the clients here are great. The menu was so good that the options were hard to chose from (not a bad thing to have for a menu).Compliments to the head chef Stuart,The man can cook the presentation was as professional as I have ever experienced myself (an ex chef myself) the specials looked amazing, the meals we did order had excellent presentation and tasted beautiful. This pub has been recommended to me before by my partner and now I can experience it for myself.I cannot fault this pub the food or the atmosphere.I wish I could rate this 10 out of 10.Please to anyone who reads this.TRY THIS PUB AND THE FOOD!
