Came here with my wife and family on Sunday, was fitted in last minute as the previous pub cancelled our booking. Atmosphere was great, busy but great. The man in the flowery shirt suggested I ordered the 'Dip Burger' as I fancied trying something a bit different to the ordinary, it was truly tasteful, however it dripped more down my top/ lap than actually going into my mouth, with my wife giving me a strange look, that I know she's secretly plotting something. We'll be recommending your pub to our friends of all ages, as we like good Ale and you certainly have a nice collection. Top marks to the man in the flowery shirt and his team.

Shocking experience, 45 minute wait to order food to be then told there was a 45 minute delay in the kitchen because they were busy . Started to order but then half of what we wanted was sold out. Waitress was not at all bothered and no apology what so ever. On the plus side the starters were OK but oh my god the main courses were atrocious. Cold steak, cold prawns , cold side order . I realise that it was a whole new menu and the pub was busy but there is no excuse for cold food. Oh we also had a visit from the manager as apparently we had asked to see him , no but clearly the waitress who took our order thought we needed to speak to him . He did give us a free drink and a half hearted apology. After the awful main course I did officially complain and we did get our money back for the inedible main courses . I have been to the queen's head a few times before this and it has been much better but I think due to this experience we will be giving it a miss for a very long time.

Probably more 3.5 stars but in general not bad. OK food, the beer was cold but the staff were warm. Not bad for a bit of pub grub, a bit expensive for what it was but if you are passing and hungry you could do a lot worse.Updated Feb 22: A really busy night and service and food we're mediocre as a result. If you want a hot Sunday roast turn up before 5pm, ours was slow and luke warm. If it looks busy walk past. It's too expensive to be mediocre.. See pictures of the tiny luke warm roast!

Great food and great service. The manger is a credit to the chain and the staff is a credit to the manger. Food is great. Eaten hear a few times and never a problem. Even when busy they keep there standards high. Highly recommend

Went for family meal last night arrived 6.30. Had table booked but waited ages for someone to acknowledge us. Got drink order wrong and waited ages for someone to take our food order- then waited ages for the food! Cold when it arrived. Chips hard and over cooked, peas hard and under-cooked! Staff miserable, cutlery dirty. This was third visit since it became an Ember Inn, each time food not been that good but given them another chance. Wont be bothering anymore.

I have visited this pub several times and have never had anything but a great time. The food is lovely and good value for money. The staff are brilliant, really personable and fun.As someone with a food allergy, this restaurant make ordering really easy and have clear menus which takes the anxiety of ordering food. The restaurant is always well presented and clean

Lovely place to meet friends/family. Friendly staff, good food at competitive prices. We opted for the light bites at lunchtime, very nice, plenty of room, although weekends I'm guessing would be busier. Definitely recommend and we will be back.

After promising ourselves a visit to the pub for a long time my wife and I finally visited between Christmas and New Year. I had a Steak and Ale Pie which I would rate at 5 out of 10 at best. My wife ordered Lasagne in red wine which we both rated as inedible!!! The taste of red wine overpowered the meal. It looked like a dogs dinner. The restaurant area lacked soul and we will never eat there again. £25 wasted.

I’ve been 4 or 5 times now and overall I think it’s a great pub.The food is generally great, with a varied menu to suit most tastes. They have a great deal on Thursday nights for two steaks and also a deal on wines, which is excellent value.I have found ordering from the table (via their app) a little variable and tend to go for waiter/ess service now.The staff are great, both friendly and efficient, even at busier times!

This pub have got one of the best ambience in terms or the interior and the outdoor seating. The outdoor sheds were really cute and nice to sit at. The food was very tasty I would've given a five star if it wasn't for the portion size. It is a bit less for the price. Rest everything is amazing. Very friendly and polite staff. Great choice of food and liquor.
