Not a fan of posting negative reviews so I'll try to keep it honest. We went for dinner on a busy evening. I understand that the premises are under new management so I hope that what we experienced is teething problems. While the service was always friendly and helpful, things were overlooked and service was slow. Cutlery was late to the party and the salt pot was empty. Drinks were forgotten. The starters we ordered arrived in good time and the onion bhajees were magnificent. Ours mains arrived one by one with the forth arriving at least 5 minutes after the first. The fish and chips was excellent but the madras chicken curry disappointed. The bill for the food was presented and then the drinks bill arrived - I'm assuming that the kitchen is run separately?? Unusual...I was uncomfortable to have a primary school aged child clearing glasses from our table. The ladies toilet was flooded.I hope that the teething problems will be sorted soon as the place has a lot of potential to be great.

Well cooked, very tasty fresh food, but expensive. Lovely staff. Sadly the pub garden is not inviting at all and needs some tlc.EDIT AFTER OWNER'S RESPONSE:Apologies if we should not have been sitting there. As first time visitors, we were shown where the garden was and food bought out to our table. Not a rope in sight at that time.......or bees.

Lovely food seating a bit rustic and they had problems with their electricity, but did not spoil anything for us. Definitely visit again when in that part of Country. Recommended by family who are frequent eaters there.

This place is amazing. The food was delicious, fresh and homemade and the cheesecake was so good too. I'll definitely come back

Just been to The Ship at Upnor for a meal. Really lovely. Food was fresh and piping hot, portion sizes were extremely generous, amazing value for money. I had cod and chips, honestly I have seen smaller whales!! Service was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful. Ambience was very chilled friendly, home from home. Oh and my wine was nice and cold, what more can one ask for? Will definitely be back. Thankyou x

I took my son and his friend here to celebrate his A level results. We sat on the riverside which was lovely. I ordered baguettes for me and my sons friend, and my son ordered the Lord Nelson Burger. The service was lovely and I found the staff to be knowledgeable and friendly. The food was served promptly and was absolutely delicious. We had a lovely afternoon and will certainly be back!!! Highly recommended 💫

Great fish n chips..probably best in medway!! Medium portion is like a whale, attentive friendly staff nothing is too much trouble, will say prices have risen quite abit since reopening and yes this is not the only place to do so after the year that hospitality has had(£10) for prawn cocktail? This is not a dig...just an observation,Still good food though. That's why I keep going back 👍🏼😁
