Just opened after refurbishment the interior is stunning, comfortable and welcoming. The garden is vast and perfect for relaxing. We had a lovely evening here, it felt like we were on holiday but we were fifteen minutes from home.

Previous visit under different management. (To shed some insight as to how much more it has improved)Moved here a year ago, and looked into this as our local. However our first visit was not good.- the service was poor- beer was limited to mostly larger- food was not that good.Have not been back, until today (Under new management amd refurbished.)Completely different atmosphere, very nicely refurbished and very family focused.Staff are friendly, helpful and genuinely happy, the selection of beer is 100% better (And has already ticked the box for coming back)The Garden is nicely set up with smokers and non smoking areas, which is a nice touch. We have not tried the food yet, however the menu is 100% better than before and seeing it being served looks very nice. So we'll be coming back and I'll update my review once tried.Definately worth a visit now.

Lovely food and good choice but service was terrible. We waited an hour for our main and then a further 45 minutes for dessert. There was no apology or explanation and no goodbye as we left.Nice meal but disappointed with the service.

Went for a roast on Sunday. Potatoes hardly roasted more like boiled potatoes and covered in overpowering herbs. Had no extras to order... but turned out we were greatful that we didn't waste anymore money. Meat wasn't the greatest either. The crutches used to be the best place in Strood for a roast dinner. I don't know if it was a bad day or normal chef was in or not. But the place was pretty empty aswell.

went there last night with a party of 15 for my birthday party and had an amazing time. we were one of two huge groups in the restaurant but we were all served amazingly. the food was incredible and there wasn’t one complaint from our whole party, everybody had an amazing time. such a lovely place and amazing staff. :)

Nice meal but realised I forgot something so I had to return to The Three Crutches and wait all night long for my plug, this was hours after a policeman saw me in Crutches Lane as I was in the area playing with placenames as word games until Police could find the clue to my jokes but I assume they realised and thought I was in the next village after they saw me in the middle of Crutches Lane without getting near to me 🤓Is there a large wood in the next village to Shorne?

Always love coming to The Three Crutches, such a nice comfortable and relaxed atmosphere with modern/fresh decor. Food is great too, I got way too excited when they released the new food menu and ordered a bit too much and the portions were very generous haha!!Definitely recommend for functions too, had a relatives wake here and the staff were very professional, nothing was too much trouble. Been here for celebrations also and the staff are all friendly and upbeat.Seriously can't recommend enough! It's a hidden gem and can't believe more people don't know about it or know it's there. The only bad thing is I have serious beard envy of one of the barmen that works there, great beard!

On arrival the man in the bar ignored us and carried on his conversation on his mobile we had to wait for the young waitress before we could be seated which would have been fine but my partner had his mum with us who is semi disabled with her legs and he left us there so not very happy with that.It is definitely not disable friendly. The food was excellent and a very good portion for the price all in all the place is very clean I just felt the waitress could have done with a little more help .

Went there this evening with ten ether female work colleagues. Nobody ordered a starters, but our main meals we had to wait for 50 minutes from ordering to arriving at our table. Only five orders came and then another six should have followed. These came in dribs and drabs over ten minutes later, leaving one girl without any food whatsoever who ordered the same time as the rest of us. Waitress apologised and said that her ticket had not been put through and her dinner would be five minutes (more like twenty!) Waitresses were lovely and couldn't fault them. Don't know what was going on in the kitchen though!! We observed another large table who were seated before us and we timed that they waited an hour for food. I personally don't think this is acceptable with so much choice of eating places nowadays. In our party one girl asked cheekily can we have some money off for the later dinner arriving later than everyone elses? The waitress replied I don't know about that, and it's my understanding is the final bill was not reduced. Some of our party had been there before and said it used to be good. It did look clean and modern and we hear there had been a major refurb. It was my first time here ever, my food and others said it was mediocre, I had lamb chops, tasty but very fatty, and the chicken burger someone else had opposite me was horrible they said. Someone else in our party had fruit crumble who mentioned afterwards there was very little crumble on top and the fruit was too tart. I had the cheese and biscuits which was quite nice and a big plate full. There was no music playing or very little ambience and we all said our experience was quite average. Summing it up we all felt the wait for food was far too long, there should be chefs on to cook the food in a timely manner and because of this I don't think anyone in my party would be rushing back to this establishment.
