A true hidden gem of Kent and Medway, can't fault this lovely pub. Great setting and ambiance, food quality was excellent. Attentive service. Brilliant value for money. Will 100% be back again to soak up some summer sun in their beer garden.

This little pub tucked away in a little village and next door to a castle and the River Medway is full of character. It has a walled garden which enjoys glorious sunshine and also has a gaggle of ducks! The buffet that was prepared for our gathering was freshly made and very tasty and the staff were really nice and friendly.

My husband and I stayed at the Tudor Rose this Friday night and it was great! It is in the most beautiful, hidden road on the Medway next to Upnor Castle.Linda, the landlady, was so friendly and showed us to our very attractive and well equipped room. We booked for dinner and the food and wine was excellent. It was very busy with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. We slept very well… comfortable bed and so peaceful in the morning. We had an amazing breakfast…I honestly can’t recommend this pub highly enough, we had a lovely time …thank you!

Lovely little pub, just how it should be. Staff friendly and attentive to your needs. Food was so much more than normal pub food. It was delicious, hot and good portion size. We shall all return.

It's Terrible.....That I couldn't give this place 6 Stars! Please excuse the word terrible at the beginning, but naturally people will read this review before others on Reviews, so I thought I'd put a spin on it xCame in tonight with my family, myself and my partner visiting, first time I've been here, and loved it. Beautiful traditional country bar & restaurant. Warm cozy and welcoming from start to finish.5 of us eating at 6pm, starters Inc home made soup, delicious, and then we had 4 mixed grills and fish and chips, the food was plentiful and the steak was cooked to perfection. One of the nicest steaks I've had in ages xService was great and the staff couldn't be nicer. The night was perfect spending time with my family and the restaurant was full, we managed to get a table last minute when my cousin booked and we certainly wasn't disappointed .We will definitely be making a return visit when we are in the area again. Thank you to all x

You don't have to be a expert but your tastebuds will be tempted by a full range of modern dishes, traditional favourites and vegetarian options - all freshly-prepared on the premises. Daily chef's specials, crafted from the best local, and seasonal, produce are also available. For something lighter, you can enjoy a delicious selection of sandwiches, light bites and traditional pub favourites in our welcoming bar area or outside in the fresh air in our beer garden overlooking the river.

Fantastic meal on Saturday evening! Our first visit with family who had been there before. Really lovely staff anf food and we would definitely go back.

Very nice pub, lots of history behind it. The food was tasty and cooked how we wanted, but the prices were quite high and the vinegar had cobwebs in the bottle. Only noticed after we used it. Really put us off but otherwise nice pub. Didnt feel at home though, as not regular customers so we got the travellers treatment.
