I've been staying here for the past 2 months. Friendly hotel staff where nothing is too much trouble. Great food. Limited menu. The staff make it an enjoyable experience.

Our stay from the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out was absolutely perfect. We were greeted by Damien. He was very friendly, informative & professional & made us feel immediately at ease. The room was spotless & the bed very comfortable. The bar & lounge area was very clean and comfortable and the service again was excellent with friendly staff. This hotel has a beautiful pool, gym, jacuzzi, sauna & steam room which are very clean modern & well maintained, & again the staff are very friendly & helpful. We did not have dinner at the hotel as we had an event already pre-booked in town, but the menu has a good selection of pub-style meals to suite all tastes & the prices we thought were reasonable.Breakfast is amazing! every taste is catered for including fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, vegan, and the full English was spot-on and yet again; the staff were very friendly and helpful. On check-out we were greeted by Chiara, and while chatting about our stay we were asked by Kaisar; the manager if everything had been to our satisfaction throughout our stay.We are regular travellers & in the summer months we often tour on our motorcycles and have stayed at numerous hotels over many years. We are also quite fussy & critical of the accommodation we visit on our travels which is why we are giving the Holiday Inn Rochester 5 STARS as it ticked all of our boxes including excellent value for money. We also highly recommend this Hotel for fellow Motorcyclists as there is 24 hour CCTV parking and the added ability to park your bike right outside the main entrance under a canopy that adjoins the swimming pool which not only gives extra security & less distance to carry your luggage. but also helps to keep your bike dry in wet weather. We will definitely use this Hotel as one of our regular stopovers as it is perfectly located on route to Dover / Folkstone for those of you touring Europe.

Not bad pool facilities. Changing rooms need to be bigger as if you're at a group lessons and then all the membership holders are there too you end up with people waiting for space.

Stayed here recently, checked in, everything seemed ok, room was ok, looked clean, gym is crazy small but served its purpose kind of, kids had fun in the pool and then it all started going down hill. Waiting upto 20 minutes for a drink at the bar, £15 for a burger and it's labelled as deal of the day. Ordered a pizza, they got it wrong but was charged £0 for it so that's cool, the hotel room keys stopped working and never anyone at reception to help so we always had to leave someone in the rooms so we could get back in, shower was broken and fixed at maximum temperature, scolded me, popped down for breakfast and was told it's £15 a head which is truly obscene, my 4 year wants a bowl of cereal, it's £15 or go somewhere else so we did. £75 for family of 5 to eat a breakfast no matter if it's just a juice. We went back to the rooms, packed and got the hell out of there. So very rude. Never to return. Do not recommend.

Well located for convenient access to Chatham and Rochester. Good sized well appointed rooms. Executive rooms are worth the extra. Some maintenance not to a good standard. Bed comfortable. Quiet. Nice breakfast selection. Good service. Lovely pool area but spa was out of order during my visit. Will return when in the area.
