Booked here for breakfast as we were staying in the Premier Inn next door. Arrived to a fairly busy dining area, which is to be expected. However, it took a good 5 minutes for anyone to come over and see to us. When they did we then had to wait for a table because they hadn't cleaned any of them. The food itself was mediocre, and that was if you could get any. A lot of the time food had run out and there were no staff to be seen. There were no cups for hot drinks, and when we asked someone we then had to wait 15 minutes for them to wash some cups up. When the cups did arrive they weren't even clean and then the coffee machine ran out of beans. It very much felt like they were understaffed. If you want a breakfast I'd suggest going to sainsburys or something else because this was shocking to say the least.

Booked a table for 5pm on a meal deal. Turned up and took my table and promptly ordered food at the bar along with a drink. Waited 2 hours at my table. Not one member of staff thought to check on me or ask or wonder what I was doing sat there. No sign of food. No sign of customer service, care or enthusiasm. I may update this review talking about the food if ever it arrives! What a disappointment in the hospitality industry.

Very disappointed ! Kids pizza meal was a frozen 50p sainsburys basics pizza that was dry and tasteless - kids Mac and cheese again very watery and not very nice I don’t expect much from kids meals but might as well stoped off at Aldi for a packet pasta and a 50p pizza 🍕Won’t be going back to this branch any time soon

Mixed Review - I’ve been going in here off n on for the last 20 years now , last year was really good and they seemed to have their act together , the food and service was honestly great and couldn’t fault it .. but recently its gone down down hill and I’ve noticed the portions have been gradually getting smaller .. I e hardly any chips on the plate . the food is definitely not as tasty as it was and it’s also served at different temperatures ranging from Cold , luke warm to too hot . my profiteroles sundae was a joke with only 1 profiterole in .. come on guys sort it out

Never again!!Every now and then I decide to give this place another go just because it’s local and convenient. I’m always reminded why I don’t go there!Food is less than satisfactory, service was non existent, bringing out more food before plates taken away. Staff constantly going back to the kitchen empty handed. Order was wrong. No welcome on arriving. Food dry and some missing- brought out half hour after we finished.Manager seemed stressed and like he couldn’t be bothered we were an inconvenience.Plus I didn’t feel great after so not confident my meal was gluten free. The table next to us has a massive pile of dirty plates in the middle and they brought out of their meals 3 times each time was wrong! No apology and each time just ignoring the pile of dirty plates! Sort out the management you need to give your staff instructions and management need work on people skills!!AVOID AVOID!!

We know Whitbread have been degrading the hospitality industry for years but this place takes it to new lows! Food was terrible even by Brewers Fayre standards. No Covid measures taken, no staff in face masks, windows shut and boiling hot to the point of discomfort.

If the staff had not been polite i would of given 1 star. The food was terribleI order scampi and chips. The scampi was rock hard like little pebbles, the chips had been reheated. The only edible part was the peas!My colleague had cottage pie, which was warm with cold bits in.Even if we wanted a pudding (which after the meal we didn't) over 75% of the pudding menu was not available due to shortages

Very chaotic service. Weren't offered a children's menu (had to ask for one). The young lady on the till was completely flummoxed when I asked for pasta with no sauce for our daughter.... after asking the kitchen they said they didn't have any pasta but they had spaghetti (doh!) but it had a sauce on it, dear me. I have attached a list of things that were on the menu that weren't available. No reason was given for this. To be honest with such a limited menu, made up of ready meals anyway, there's absolutely no excuse for not having the entire menu available. Hence only two stars.

This waitress in here is the only good thing, poor young girl having to serve up this sort of slop. Attached to a 'hotel' so you may expect more. Give this place a swerve. Everything worse than you could expect. 0 stars if possible

Starters was mozzarella bites. You can see for yourself what the presentation was like. Main co6rse was ok, had the chicken and ribs. Desert was supposed to be Eton Mess sundae. Top half was all canned cream and there was no sign of any meringue.
