Country Gardens Garden Centre in Mid Sussex

Nice place to visit for those who like gardening. Nice restaurant. We had tea and coffee and cake. Plenty of parking and reasonable prices.

In the restaurant we waited a few minutes at the order point where we were studiously ignored by 4 members of staff that walked past us. I appreciate they were busy - either understaffed or inexperienced staff but a glance, smile and quick greeting to say , for example, sorry were really busy, someone will be with you in a minute, would have gone a long way. This is the second time this has happened. Pity-we like to support local businesses,

Very busy as usual. Nice food, prompt, friendly service. Good coffee. Garden centre well stocked, as well as the shop. Nice place for lunch or breakfast, and a wonder round.

Ellison who works in the cafè is amazing she definitely deserves a raise. Best customer service I've ever experienced goes to Ellison.

Good range of merchandise... Food, gifts etc... And some plants too. Cafe quite disorganised and expensive. Cake was dry... Wanted to send it back but companions didn't want the fuss Cappuccino was lovely.

Have been a regular customer at the garden centre and restaurant with the latter being hit and miss. Visited on 12th December, ordered two breakfasts, one not as ordered. Breakfast getting cold whilst they were trying to find my order in the till for 10 mins. When they found it they refunded the £3 difference and did not offer to provide the correct breakfast or replace the by then cold breakfast! And no apology from the restaurant manager who "managed" the situation. No obvious place to complain therfore completed online enquiry form yo complain and have received no response?! Very disappointing

We stopped here for a Sunday roast. The food is perfectly nice canteen type food, hot and served promptly. However, the serving staff were slow to clear the table and bring pudding and it was hard to get their attention as they would rush back to the kitchen after serving others. Also the first set of cutlery we were given had food on it. A bit more attention to detail by the staff and this would have been 4 stars.

I like this place as it has a very nice restaurant so you can get a decent lunch or fresh cake before having a wander around the shop and the nursery. They have a nice range of gifts especially at Christmas. There is also a pet shop on site which specialises in aquatic plants and fish plus all the associated equipment. Well worth a visit. There is a large car park and although Sussex country gardener is very popular I never find it too difficult to find a space.

There is so much to see at this garden centre. The displays ate colourful and well set out. I found that the Halloween Grotto was the best. From what I have seen in other garden centres (which, quite honestly has been extremely poor to nothing at all) this garden centre had surpassed itself. Well done.
