Flinders Coffee in Mid Sussex

Nice local cafe, with a bit of a jungle vibe (you'll know what I mean if you've been there!). Staff were polite and efficient, although we'd picked a time when the kitchen was closed, so couldn't sample the ultimate cheese on toast. Settling for a sausage roll and a flat white, we weren't disappointed. The food was rustic, high quality and tasty. The coffee was some of the best I've ever had, with a deep and rich flavour. The venue is quite dark, unfortunately, and does look like it needs some love - but this is entirely subjective. The toilet was clean and bright, and the atmosphere was nice and laid back in general (the cafe I mean, not specifically the toilet, because that would be a bit weird). I'd definitely go there again for the coffee alone if I'm ever in Haywards Heath, which is extremely unlikely, unfortunately.

I really adore the hot chocolate here! I don’t know what it is about it but it’s just the best ever, but one small criticism…I saw on the side hot chocolate chips, I asked 3 times if this is the hot chocolate powder they use in the restaurant and the employees at the time reassured me that it was, even though it was labelled “dark chocolate”. I did also bring this up as a query but they still assured me it was the right one.I bought the product which was quite expensive for hot chocolate, £8.95 and it was the wrong bloody hot chocolate! I knew it…I just wish the staff members would confess that they weren’t sure as opposed to just saying yes because it’s easier. 😡

I had the full English. Sausage was good. Would prefer just baked beans and not the mix of beans and tomato’s. My wife had a bacon, avocado and tomato sandwich and that was also very good. Would visit again.

had a lime cake and cortado, cake was tasty and fresh, the coffee was also very smooth, nice and friendly people.

Wow I was only back in the UK for a week & found this on my last day! What a find; an amazing Vegan Breakfast! Vegan sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, wilted spinach, beans in a herby tomato sauce & then ... 3 pieces of sourdough toast; 1 with smashed avo & the other 2 with beetroot hummus 💜 I simply couldn't eat it all - absolutely delicious. What I loved so much was not only the awesome tastiness, but everything (maybe not the sausage 😉) was nutritious & well-balanced. Such a shame I only found it on my way back to Gatwick but 'I'll be back!'

Very nicely prepared food and good menu choices including vegan and gluten free if required. Very good friendly service and free wi-fi. Recommended.

Lively local café, small, only tables for two, but a lovely cosy warm atmosphere. I had avocadoes and chilli on sourbread toast and English breakfast tea, super!

Amazing coffee and delicious breakfast. The french toast is so good! A real local gem. Staff are very friendly too.

Great place. Took my 6 month old son and my mum here and they couldn't have been more helpful although it isn't made clear that it's table service so was left standing at the counter watching the staff in the back for quite sometime until they came and told me that it was and them had to go back and wait at the table to be served however that was the only downside. Other than that the coffee was beautiful and the white choc and raspberry blondie I had was beautiful.

I stumbled upon this little gem of coffee shop in search for a good coffee shop amongst all the surrounding chains, costa and cafe Nero. What a delight! Great coffee, where they understand the difference between a flat white and a latte. I indulged a whole gluten free carrot cake which was so good, not to sweet, just right! The breakfast and lunch menu looks pretty enticing too with gluten free, vegan, vegetarian options available amongst the meaty ones. I will most certainly be back to try out more of the menu. Very impressed and would highly recommend Flinders Coffee.
