halloumi fries were supposed to be in batter. We have had these a few times in the past. I was served them like this before and was told it was a mistake. I guess it's because it's Saturday and they are busy.We were served these greesy on the outside overcooked dry things.Lazy and disappointing I'm not driving all the way back to here from Burgess Hill.

Double or triple cooked? The crispiest chips I have had from any chip shop. The fish is also nicely cooked and they have a wide range of other food including burgers. Staff are very nice and friendly. Queues are big on Friday nights but you can phone your order through in advance.

Why doesn’t this fish and chip takeaway employ more staff ? The waiting times are unreal. Over 30 minutes on Friday for one simple portion of chips. Even people who pre-ordered were waiting over their promised collection times. Won’t bother going back. The takeaway in Keymer has much better service and no waiting

Fancied Fish & Chips for my tea tonight, so Googled the chip shop nearest the site I'm camping at..So glad I did, the Cod was cooked perfectly, not to much batter, and the Chips were spot on, not at all greasey. I think I can say they are the best I've ever had, and at 60, I've had a few fish suppers over the years.Staff in the shop were friendly and helpful, couldn't fault the food or the service.

Gluten free fish and chips!!! Amazing, best fish and chips I’ve had in a while. They offered to make the gluten free batter fresh for me for the fish of my choice! Best haddock and chips. What a find! :) all fried in the same fryer though so not suitable for coeliacs.

Seems to be a yearly visit for us whilst camping locally, but it's consistent each time! Fab food and friendly staff. Perfect! My wife says the haddock is the best she's had, and each time I visit, the food is freshly cooked to order. Well worth a visit!

My wife , daughter and I ordered 3 medium cod and chips and curry sauce. We all agreed this was the best fish and chips we had ever tasted. The cod was perfectly cooked and skinless. The chips crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Delicious. We look forward to our next order. Congratulations Hassocks Fish and Chips
