Marino's Fish bar in Mid Sussex

Just had terrific cod and chips crispy batter perfectly cooked fish great chips all served with a smile 👍

Tried here for first time. For me personally,chips were over cooked ,fish (cod) was over cooked and dry around the edge. We ordered battered sausage also,which was really nice and curry sauce is curry sauce staff were very polite and place looked very clean. Won't go back.

Ordered, I was the only customer in there and the guy looked at me and said "fifteen/twenty mins mate" the look on his face meant go and wait elsewhere and come back. Seemed very unwelcoming. Fatty chips, I think I got the scraps, cod was nice.

Very good local fish and chip shop. Great quality cod, really white and flaky, nice crisp and thin batter and great chips. Homemade tartare sauce too!

Excellent fish and chip shop but please be aware they are now CLOSED on a Sunday.Sorry but my review has to go down to very poor, we order onion rings and they did not put them in the bag and we paid for them. And my mums cod was as dry as a very old flipper.

I usually always go here and last night i did as always . Very disappointed in chips and the batter on a long sausage looking bit of fish was very odd . Never seen a piece of fish looking like a sausage .This was my first bad experience . Very strange as love the shop and staff . But for 20.00 it actually went in the bin i have to say . Never had to do this èver here . Very odd .

Saturday 18-01-2020Ordered from here in the past for the company I work for locally food always ok but takes so long . But yesterday evening disgraceful rude behaviour I think by the manager . Went in asked to order 3 different meals for 3 people paying separately. How easy can this be . Order 1- 6 chicken nuggets . Came to £22.60 I said no you got that wrong . Rude manager came to the till and said what do u want . Order 1.6 chicken nuggets we don’t do 6 only 5 or kiddies meal I said ok . Order 1 - kiddies chicken nugget meal , order 2 - kiddies chicken nugget meal . Order 3 Sausage large chips . And could I pay separately for them . His reply in a very rude tone was no I can not do that . I can only charge all together . I said it’s so easy . But his rude tone his attitude not meeting the customer expectations which blatantly was easy . I said give me the money back . Went to Hassocks Fish Shop easy to order polite service . Marino’s after yesterday’s experience never again . You can not cope under stress very poor management.

Great fish and chips. But it does gets full at evening time around 6pm to 7pm and even if you preorder on phone there is no seperate queue. Friendly staff to. Ordered 3 times fish is to die for. They work hard to please their customers!

Owner apologised for my previous experience and stressed that it was not their policy to stop serving all foods an hour before closing. As such, the owner really cares about his business and any concerns which is nice to see. Still great chips and fish :)
