Shunam Tandoori in Mid Sussex

Really disappointed with our food , this place is very hit and miss sometimes it's okay sometimes it's near inedible . Needed a tonne of salt added , even the poppadoms and onion salad were absolutely tasteless . The dishes were swimming in water with grease on top of it it had almost split. Lovely guys here but absolutely revolting food will not be returning always give benefit of doubt as local but waste of money .

Ive eaten at a lot of indian/asian restaurants. However this one was a very peaceful and relaxing/calm atmosphere. Food was better than most fancy indian places. Flavour was just correct. Chefs must be some of the best.

You don’t get many like this outside of London. This place is lovely very very relaxing. Staff are lovely too. Food is wonderful full of flavour. Chefs are very good at what they do!!!! 😋

Always get a takeaway from this place. Lovely food. Very kind staff. Would strongly recommend if your fancying some quality Indian. Try it out!

Below average curry, watery and stingy on the king prawns. When the waiter asked if I wanted poppadoms I said no thanks but in tongue' n cheek said "but if you want to throw a couple in..." I got the response we don't give free poppadoms, its only restaurants in Burgess Hill that do that. Obviously I was a bit (!) For an odd comment. C'mon guys, it's something that costs pennies and can keep custom, don't be as stingy as your portion sizes! As suggested, I will stick to Burgess Hill for my free poppadoms! Suffice to say, I won't be going back!

Good food, most of the time. Chicken tikka often has at least one piece of chicken slightly ‘crunchy’ from being undercooked, though I’m not sure that I have ever had an upset stomach from it.My disappointment is with complaints handling which has been atrocious. Having been a loyal and extremely generous customer for decades and then encountering the issue of a staff member making an insulting remark, the management dealt with it extremely poorly, even given 2 very reasonable opportunities to rectify the problem.Extremely unimpressed and disappointed. Despite decades of loyalty (and generosity as a patron), the owner has chosen to line his pocket over resolving a very resolvable issue. I leave this restaurant with a nasty taste in my mouth.

Always a great service and great food, staff is so nice and accomodating, I was looking forward to being back, they remembered our favourite dishes. Thank you!

Love this Indian takeaway! Best in the area. I love the tandoori king prawn tikka masala, sag paneer and mushroom rice. The staff are lovely too

BEST INDIAN FOOD! Their food is absolutely delicious and the staff are so kind. We just moved to the area and are so happy to have such a good local Indian takeaway. We now order weekly and would recommend to anyone!
