Nice outdoor area. I had the mushroom starter, steak and ale pie for main and vanilla creme brulé for dessert all of which were excellent. Recommend.

Great food.Three of us stayed for 2 days and had 5 different meals between us - they were all fantastic. Service the first day was superb. Service for dinner the second day was bad, but I believe that was an exception, because everyone else was great. This pub had a large outside area, good parking and it's a delight inside. We also stayed in one of their rooms. It was a little tight, but comfortable and quiet.

Staff were friendly but I won't be in a hurry to return. I ordered a plant burger, which normally comes with salad, and asked for veg in place of the salad. They substituted the burger with veg. So I ended up with veg + salad and no protein. To their credit, they didn't charge me for my "main course".

Loved my visit to this pub. Great beer selection, lovely wine, food was some of the best pub food I’ve had in ages. Dog friendly too. Perfect

·

Excellent food and service. Friendly staff and reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful establishment, with amazing attention to detail. The food was outstanding and they went out of their way to accommodate all the different dietary issues in our party of ten.The only disappointment is that I live so far awayThank you to all involved in making our first family reunion in 3 years so lovely

Good food, fair price, service good. Located on busy high street, give plenty of time to look for parking. There is car park back of venue but is small and we were lucky and got last space.

Where to begin? I arrived early, exhausted after a gruelling drive, and just thought I'd sit and drink coffee till the room was ready. But the lovely girls on reception said the room was ready so just go ahead and use it. When your burned out from crawling along the M25 little kindnesses like that mean a lot.I ate dinner there both nights. The beef medallions were beautifully cooked and tender. The portions generous. The veg crisp and fresh. All in all it was proper pub grub. Tasty. Filling. And not too fussy. Lovely homemade bread.

Lovely country town pub, restaurant, hotel. We had a small wake in the function room upstairs with refreshments. These included an outstanding selection of sandwiches and rolls, made with their own breads, followed by fresh scones, jam & cream. A great indication that its worthwhile coming again for a meal.Car park was rammed, in line with it being busy inside, so be prepared to find other parking.

Had a lovely lunch with friends and my 10 month old son. The staff were just so lovely and personable. The food was great and so flavourful. Just proper “pub grub” done well.
