We turned up on a busy Saturday lunchtime without a booking and were lucky enough to get a table for 3. We were served by the waitress Ramona who was absolutely lovely. She was very friendly, helpful and made us feel comfortable.

Fantastic views where we enjoyed a pre-booked, delicious family meal! Served by Sally who went above and beyond to make sure our visit was one to remember! We chose the devil's dyke particularly to remember my mum who had previously visited 36yrs ago with her husband on their motorbike...we all raised a glass! I loved sledging down the valley behind in the winter and looking for newts at the pond, which was only found by avid explorers, many years ago!

Wonderful food at an amazing location. The views from on top of the south downs are breathtaking. The staff were helpful and generous with their time despite being busy on a bank holiday weekend. Special thanks to Sally who served us and all who tolerated our dog liking to lay in the everyones way!!

The pub has a nice spacious feel to it as the tables are nicely spaced. The menus (both normal and kids) had a good range of options, and the food was yummy. Our server, Sue, managed to make my hangry 9year old smile, and was just the right amount of attentive - we didn't feel like we were being hovering over, and we also didn't ever start to feel forgotten about 😁It was a lovely family meal and everyone left happy, even the 9 year old 🤣

Our first trip to Devil's Dyke but would definitely come again. Food was delicious. I had mushrooms in garlic and cheese sauce, vegetable curry and Eton mess. Every course was gorgeous. Our server Sally was warm and friendly, good humoured and gave good recommendations/endorsements. Even the weather was great!Definitely 5 stars!

Very nice food. Staff accommodated us well. Will make sure we request a table with a view next time. We were able to move to another area that was great. The mini pudding with a drink is a great idea. All in all a lovely visit to a clean restaurant.

We've been several times. Ideal if you like a walk with a spectacular view, followed by a decent meal in decent pub. Without being fussy, it's well presented and the service friendly. Food fine and a good bar

Everyone should go here some time. You can go for beautiful walks around the valley with your kids and dogs or go kiting with them instead! Then afterwards have an amazing and affordable meal in this restaurant. We went there for boxing day and had an amazing time. The restaurant is stunning and the service was superb.Ramona took our order and checked with us regularly. She always gave us plenty of time to pick and because if the check ins was there immediately when you knew what you wanted. They came to let us know 2 minutes before the kitchen closed if we would still like some desert. They came to our table to let us know when the bar was closing and offered us a last drink. Now the food was really good. I had a tasty sirloin steak which was made exactly the way I like it. My partner had the turkey which he really enjoyed and what he particularly liked is that "you really get the veggies". Sometimes at a restaurant there are all these veggies listed and you get 2 tiny carrots and 1 broccoli. The veggies were well made and perfectly balanced with the meal. (I thought the same with my sirloin which had some garlic, tomato and salad added. Not nearly as much as with the turkey but again perfectly balanced. The oven baked mushrooms were a treat but the desert really got me. I am normally not a desert person but I loved loved loved the brownie with irish coffee ice cream and the crème brûlle with cherries was just amazing because it came with this like butter cookie which really broke through insane sweetness and gave you am extra bit of crunch and a softer flavor.Drinks: Tasty tasty ciders which we lack in the Netherlands ( super jealous)We have a bottle of prosecco too very affordable and tasty. You can go up in price range but I appreciate there being a good option for students

Really great place to go walking and have lunch or dinner at their dog friendly pub (bar area only). The food is reasonably priced and decent quality with a great selection of drinks, not to mention stellar views too.

Superb location and the food was delicious. Ramona our waitress was delightful. I had the beef roast dinner and prawn cocktail starter on Father's Day. Excellent value for money 5 stars!
