Main course took ages despite it being a quiet lunchtime.Pudding was lush though!

We had a lovely meal in a good setting. Highly recommended - we'll definitely be going back!We DID go back and we had a delicious roast dinner - we'll be going back again!

Well kept and beautiful little pub. The food was very good, we had ribs (huge!) and burgers for main, and banoffee and lemon roulade for dessert. All was great.Service was fantastic, friendly and chatty. Bonus points for the lovely company of the pub dog Monty the black lab who hung out with us for most of our visit.

Great family pub. Felt so welcomed all the way from first call to book to locals saying good bye. Table of 11 called day before to book. Gave pre ordered and food was lovey. Thank you Alison and team

Lovely fresh looking public house. Kitchen was closed when I visited but the very friendly hostess made me a lovely sandwich and coffee and made me feel valued. Will definitely visit again

Lovely little pub with way above average pub food. A lovely welcome, great crispy squid and burgers and some lovely catch time with Monty the pub dog was just what we needed to relax. My only criticism... awful awful coffee!

We had a very tasty meal here and were well looked after.I like dogs so the over friendly dog wasn't an issue for me.It was a warm and friendly experience.

Not a lot of choice for vegans, the standard Moving Mountains Burger was ok. No dairy alternative for coffee. I'm sure it'll improve though.

What an absolute joy it was to walk through the door and be greeted by a wonderful happy black Lab Monty! Totally unexpected and made me smile from ear to ear! Transformed the energy of the experience for me..... Ordered roast beef and sticky toffee pudding en route home after golf at Singing Hills Golf club and it was the cherry on the cake! Great atmosphere, efficient staff, polite, friendly and speedy... Will visit every time Iβm at golf that way! Thoroughly recommend ππππππππππ

We have known this pub since the 70's.Since moving away from the area we visited very rarely.Unfortunately since it was owned by Black Lion pubs the standard deteriorated.Today we were delighted to find the pub has been completely refurbished to a very high standard by the new owners. We enjoyed a delicious meal and the homemade cheesecake is to die for !We will definitely call here again next time we're on the way to Brighton
