The Fig Tree in Mid Sussex

We visited the Fig Tree for a birthday lunch and had the set 3 course meal which was as good as any Michelin starred restaurants we have visited. The two waitresses were attentive without being intrusive and were particularly helpful with choosing a wine pairing for each course. Great value for money, I really can't speak too highly of this restaurant and look forward to returning for their evening tasting menu.

Probably the nicest food i've ever tasted! Every course put a smile on my face. I wish I lived closer to this place as i'd come here all the time. Food was reasonably priced considering the quality. Have paid much more for much less at other "fine dining" restaurants. Waitresses were very friendly and attentive but not overbearing. Honestly if you get a chance just go there!

Fabulous. Absolutely everything was lovely. The place is so pretty and comfortable and the atmosphere was great. The staff attentive and so friendly. The food was some of the best we have ever eaten. Each course was a picture and a delight to eat. The chef should be proud the restaurant was full yet unhurried and timing was perfect for each course. Time just went. Will be going back and would recommend.

Amazing food, Lovely friendly staff and great service

We visited last night for the first time and we were blown away with how outstanding this restaurant is. I can’t believe we hadn’t come across it sooner. We had a 6 course tasting menu with the wine pairing and every course was exceptional. The staff were all amazing too. We will tell all our friends and we will be back soon .

Such a lovely place! We had the tasting menu with wine pairing and it was a delight from start to finish. Food was of a very high standard and the wines went beautifully with every course. We will definitely be back!

WOW!! Just had the most wonderful evening in the Fig Tree. A night out for my wife's birthday and James cooked the best food we have ever tasted all presented by Jodie and her staff beautifully. Thank you so much and we hope to return soon

Wonderful Lunch and reasonably priced.The food and service was fantastic, we had the 3 course lunch menu and can't wait to return for a dinner some time soon!

Fantastic food and service we are so lucky to have this restaurant in our village.The taster menu is perfect and definitely go with the wine flight as the pairings are superb!Can’t fault any part of it, In fact the only problem was after the wine flight we were a little drunk and miscalculated the tip (sorry!) we will rectify on our next visit!Fast becoming our favourite place to eat anywhere!

One of the finest tasting menu experiences I've ever had. Beautifully prepared and presented. Can't wait to come back again. My personal favourite was the Dover sole with sauce Veronique and baby leeks but everything was delicious. Well done everyone at the Fig Tree.
