The Fox and Hounds in Mid Sussex

Had lunch yesterday, very disappointed, a lot of things on the menu were not available, food was ok but nothing to rave about. As far as the staff , there was a very rude barman, we used the app to make it easier and he brought the drinks over on a tray and just left it there, definitely in the wrong job. I would not visit again and I wouldn’t recommend I fact I would say “don’t go there”

Lovely pub with an excellent menu. It was very busy but we had friendly staff and super service. If near again we will definitely go here again.

The most professional, polite and friendly 3 young men serving at our table this evening. Thank you so much! The halloumi burger was lovely too! Will be returning! Please could you provide oat or soya milk though please for lattes!

My partner, myself and our dog (Marlo), always love a visit to the Fox. All the staff greet us with smiles and are incredibly friendly. Lovely food, lovely wine, lovely beer and incredibly lovely people. Where we love to go after a tough day.

Very disappointed, ordered roast - stated on menu as a jug of gravy, however dinner served with gravy....arrived luke warm, veg cold, roast potatoes hard and old! Husband had ultimate burger but portion of chips was small and overall nothing special on any of the meals. Service was so slow, we had to ask for pudding, drinks, bill in which we were charged for a side we never received..... although deducted no apology. Won't be returning.

Extremely impressed by the staff . They are really helpful and accommodating. Sunday lunch times are busy and popular(best to book) Waiting times for food are OK even during busy periods. Relaxed atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Popular with families and welcome dogs.Good range of bitters (according to my husband). As with many restaurants, shame they don't appear to have a small list available as to what non - alcoholic drinks are available(other than the usual coke and lemonade).Too many eateries nowadays you seem to have to ask .."and what non alcoholic drinks do you have"?

Overall food was lovely, excellent service, and prompt food/drink. I had the steak ale pie, personally i found the meat was a little dry but dish in general was great would order again. Gave extra gravy with no charge.

More than just a pub! Has a great atmosphere, great drinks and food to accompany. Bartenders are great, smiling, attentive and willing to go that extra mile. Matt was great, drink paid for and in my hand within the same 2 minutes of me asking for one.

I went to the pub last week for a few drinks, and the atmosphere was so cheerful and christmassy. The decor was wonderful, an open fire was going, and the staff were very welcoming. Service was quick and efficient. Will definitely come back here.

First time out in 18 months or so and it was good. Menu didn't quite have all the options but my plan B was lovely. The Katsu Chicken Curry was a good size portion and very tasty.Staff very friendly and we felt pretty comfortable. We'll be back.
